Oh I understand Mosaic law....what I find ironic are the cafeteria pickers that love to cite Leviticus for their interpreted references to homosexuality while picking and choosing the rest. Its actually interesting watching them twist and contort to fit their perverted version of Christianity.
 
Many posters in this thread make me feel embarrassed I am from the same country as them. Too much unnecessary ignorance is on display here.

It's sad religious people look so uncomfortable and ignorant about science, and can't tell the difference between facts and spiritual belief.

Many scientists believe in God, but no scientist could get away with the amount of ignorance and misguided understanding of logic and scientific method as this.

Jesus Christ and God are not two different entities. Jesus spoke out against the many fornications that existed in Roman Culture at the time, which included homosexuality, beastiality and pedophilia. The Bible is QUITE clear about homosexual sex. It's an abomination. One of the most severe condemnations seen in The Bible. God destroyed an entire city in part because of homosexuality, which is often lumped together with many other "fornications" in The Bible.

This thread is about The Bible and The Catholic Church's beliefs in regards to homosexuality/sex. Catholics believe that Jesus + God + The Holy Spirit = God. The Most High. The Holy Trinity. The Church has specific beliefs. As the main representative of this Church, The Pope has no power and no authority to change God's Laws. His job is to obey. A lot of ignorant wishful thinking is sprinkled throughout this thread from the usual peanut gallery of Gay Thumper extremists. The Pope isn't saying homosexual sex is cool and Jesus dug it.

I know what the pope is saying...and he directed it DIRECTLY at those in the Catholic church that are overly focused on anti-gay and abortion issues without focusing on the majority of Catholic teaching.
