Iran: We will never develop nuclear weapons

Then you must have been misinformed in some other school, .

Sorry to be such a buzzkill here, but you misspelled the word Madrassa.

More anti Americanism from Americans. Little wonder that the Party of Stupid People voted for Hope and Change.

If it's OK to insult a whole region of the world, it's OK to imply that all Arkansans are inbred. Red state, by the way. Bunch of regular geniuses, right.

(We also voted for Bill Clinton, who's one of them.)

And didn't you say this:

Are you from SW Michigan?? This is pathetic and sad.

So, say whatever about Michigan, but leave the red states alone?

See Rocket, criticising any US crimes is to be an anti-American. It's not possible that you may just like to see the crimes end.

The same overtures were made by Ahmadinejad repeatedly. Nothing has changed. It was and is a nuclear energy program.

I agree. But given the tensions between nations in the area, especially from Shia vs Sunni conflicts, I really doubt that Iran would pass up the chance to build powerful weapons. Even if their intent is mere deterrence, nuclear weapons are a very attractive thing for a country to have. I do not think that they will use them, and I'm sure that they truly don't want to, but I doubt that they will refrain of obtaining that security.

Keep in mind, I see no reason why Iran with nuclear weapons is a bad thing. It's no worse than Pakistan with them. Certainly not worse than North Korea with them. I think the devastation in 1945 and the fear of global annihilation during the Cold War has taught everyone the consequences of using nuclear weapons. I do not think that any nation would start a nuclear war. It is an act of suicide, not only of oneself, but of one's family, friends, and people. Whoever fires the first nuke may be completely wiped from the map by everyone else. If Kim Jong Il wasn't crazy enough to do that, no one is.

I would completely agree with you on that. I have always stated and still believe that either everybody has them or nobody has them and preferably, nobody has them. The world has taken the step to destroy all chemical weapons so lets make that step too, so that Einstein's prediction on WW4 don't come true.

Yes, maybe it was another Bill Clinton joke though the addition of children is a novel twist.

You obviously didn't read the link and how they were including Rigoberta Menchú as part of the curriculum in order to demonstrate 'diversity' to sheltered Americans. That's what was 'pathetic'.

A very significant percentage of Muslims living in the middle east and south Asia ARE inbred, though. Since this is not true for those living in Arkansas, this is a false comparison. In Iran, for instance, the consanguinity rate is just below 40%. In Pakistan and most of the Arab world it is higher.

Do you REALLY think that 40 % of marriages in Arkansas are to family members?

False equivalence.

Why do you want the Iranian regime to have nukes?

Not only in Pakistan and the Arab world. Muslim outrage as professor Steve Jones warns of 'inbreeding' risks | Mail Online

Perhaps Rocket88 has the stats for Arkansas.

It will be another North Korea, generations of darkness for Persians.

All that merely because of a nuclear weapons program? "Generations of darkness"? Really? The Middle East is already trying to fight off the yoke of theocratic rule and fundamentalist Islam. It basically held sway for a single generation. A lot of people throughout the region want to be modern, secular people. Not atheist, but secular. They want modern governments with modern laws, not fanatical attempts to adhere to a book from over a thousand years ago.

That's probably true. But it's not in the US interests to allow that to happen.

Are you talking of the leadership or the people?

The Iranian people revolted against their leadership but received no help whatsoever from President Obama. Obama supported the religious extremists, just as he did in Egypt.Articles: Why Obama Betrayed the Iranian People

In the ME it matters not what the people want. We see that play out daily.

We see a fair share of that played out at home, too!

Really. Just like north Korea. Totally cut off from the outside world, visits from Rodman.

No I don't. But it's funny how you can insult a whole region of the world, but if I were to imply that people in Arkansas were inbred rednecks, the same people jump down my throat. It's the same sort of BS statement, but as long as a righty says it about Musilms it's OK.

I'm going to go back and see where you went against Republican propaganda. Nothing gets Grant's panties in a wad faster, and then he starts calling names.
