On that I would agree to a point...But then how do you do a business plan for transportation if you don't have a forecast of what future prices will be?

Only people/companies who can actually physically warehouse/store the barrels would be buying, so I don't think it would be that difficult because prices wouldn't fluctuate wildly like they do now. Speculators who currently buy and sell barrels of oil like they're stocks, but don't have the means to actually take delivery, would be out of the game.

Want a better deal on gas? Venezuela at 4, Egypt for $1.00.

It would be interesting to see if that had the impact everyone says it would.

I think it would have a pretty good impact. If not lowering gasoline prices, at least stabalizing them.

While in retrospect, it is fairly apparent that the President does not control gas prices, I can see why Bush, who was closely linked to the oil profiteers, was suspect at the time. The effort to blame Obama follows the same mentality of those who claim Bush was behind 9/11. Very, very unlikely.

Gas prices, while not cheap, aren't that high in relativity to other commodities. How is it that $35 an ounce gold is now $1300? A nickel cup of coffee is now $2.39? It's just inflation, not a sinister plot.

It is a rather compelling anchor all this beauty and good weather. Sunsets over the Pacific have tended to keep the feet firmly planted for decades.
