It says there are 100k fighters and 30k are moderates.

It's too funny that you didn't even realize the article contradicts your narrative.

That just adds to the humor of you accepting numbers from an unsourced private company while complaining about Kerry's lack of sources.

The new study by IHS Jane's, a defence consultancy, estimates there are around 10,000 jihadists - who would include foreign fighters - fighting for powerful factions linked to al-Qaeda..

Another 30,000 to 35,000 are hardline Islamists who share much of the outlook of the jihadists, but are focused purely on the Syrian war rather than a wider international struggle.

There are also at least a further 30,000 moderates belonging to groups that have an Islamic character, meaning only a small minority of the rebels are linked to secular or purely nationalist groups.....snip~

The study is based on intelligence estimates and interviews with activists and militants.....snip~

Then from the NY Times and Reuters.

Across Syria, rebel-held areas are dotted with Islamic courts staffed by lawyers and clerics, and by fighting brigades led by extremists. Even the Supreme Military Council, the umbrella rebel organization whose formation the West had hoped would sideline radical groups, is stocked with commanders who want to infuse Islamic law into a future Syrian government.

Nowhere in rebel-controlled Syria is there a secular fighting force to speak of.....snip~

Then CNN and Rueters came out with the Links on The Syrian Rebels don't want Democracy.

So you agree. Of the 100k, 30k are moderates and that destroys your narrative about no good rebels.

Are you ready to agree that rejecting the secretary of state's numbers on the grounds of no sources, while accepting a random private company's numbers without sources, is hysterical?

No I agree that there are 30k with an Islamist character. Period.....no accepting that they are just moderate.

Then I agree with that the SMC is filled with Commanders that want to Infuse Islamic Law into a Future Syria.

Then I also Agree that the MB and the Salafists are backing the FSA and SNC. Which was shown with Idris and his command.

Which YOUR MAN Kerry doesn't even mention.

70% is a huge majority. The insurgency cannot be supported.

As the rockets used are not known to be in rebel hands, we can be sure it was Assad and thus we must intervene. We can help the 30% gain power.

Also, why do you believe this report, when there is no evidence or source given.

Trust me, we have people on the ground there that have been on the ground for quite a while.

The stark assessment, to be published later this week, accords with the view of Western diplomats estimate that less than one third of the opposition forces are "palatable" to Britain, while American envoys put the figure even lower.

Shocker......Of course these guys are there. Anywhere you see chaos, war, atrocities, etc in the Middle East, there are jihadists involved.

I was just going with your numbers dude. Did you see the other thread up on the waiver for arming terrorists? Knowing that its impossible to avoid arming terrorists in Syria, in an attempt to cover his ass, Obama has now repealed the ban. Russia should just drop boots on the ground and help president Assad swiftly terminate this insanity.
