Active gunmen in US navy Yard [W:69, 700]

Oh, who cares. Second Amendment blah-blah, - this is the price we pay, bull****.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

What a tragic event. This is just another incident that people believe Obama and his administration are weak and
can not protect us from terrorism like the Bush administration did.

By invading Iraq which was no threat to the USA, eh?

That really made the USA a safer place, didn't it?

In other news, it has been discovered that Obama is personally responsible for baldness, erectile dysfunction, homosexuality, and that traffic light that always seems to turn red just as I get there.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

From what I am reading from the site of a Dutch newspaper, the shooter is a former marine who was fired in 2011 due to a bad behavior/behavioral problems.

The last one is the one that really ticks me off.

That's once since 911. Hardly an everyday occurrence, is it? Out of the eighty seven shooting deaths a day in the USA, one event in 12 years is a vanishingly small number.

Do the math as they allegedly say in your country, despite the fact theat "maths" is plural.

I took calculus as a 15 year old, but that was quite some time ago.

As to mass shootings at military facilities -- you think these happen all the time, do you? My math certainly does not arrive at 87 per day, even if I do happen to be a tad rusty.

National Public Radio said he was retired from the Navy where he worked in aviation electronics and had since been working as a civilian contractor. He apparently was using the ID of someone who departed under bad circumstances recently but that person has been cleared. IDK. I really don't care why he did what he did though. as long as he is dead, there is not much that can be done.

The odds of it being "a Muslim" shooting on American soil is vanishingly small

But the odds of being a black person shooting on American soil is pretty high still--disproportionally high.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

What is the point that you are trying to make?

Why it's clear he's making the same point the President made in the TM event.

Are you implying the President was stupid to have made such a remark?

ChezC3 makes it clear in his post just how dumb a remark the President made when he made it. Is there a reason you don't see that?

We're all better than this, when we blame over these massacres.
Using my words, may my Creator help this Country, because We do help the rest of the World.

He was also dismissed from the Navy under bad circumstances, to go with the badge you speak of.

It did until Obama abandoned Iraq. Look what Iran is involved in now.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

It should be interesting to find out what kind of information surfaces over the next few days. I am willing to bet, as many other shootings like this, there were probably suttle clews that this man was about to commit act. This was obviously not a targeted shooting, so I don't believe it was workplace violence. He obviously meant to bring terror to those on a military installation which leads me to believe this was probably a homegrown terrorist act. The PC government will probably try as hard as possible not to call this a homegrown terrorist act. They don't want to upset the extremists out there!

We never had a terrorist attack since we invaded Iraq under President Bush...We have had numerous ones under Obama.

No that is President Bush. Obama blames him for everything bad that happens in this country unless it is something good then the ego maniac takes credit.

What we know now is that the guy has a history. Not a surprise.

The "shooter" on the White House lawn is likely to have mental issues as well. I certainly could see it as possible that he didnt even use a gun and tossed fire crackers to cause chaos. But as of now I have heard nothing on the news.

Seriously bro? Already? Its still the day of the friggin shooting. Come on man.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

This is terrible. I honestly don't know how we can prevent this stuff from happening. None of us want a police state. The amount of security our country would need to counter these psychos from doing this would be beyond impeding on our freedom. I just don't know what the answer is. Banning guns would only result in the people we don't want to have guns having them while the rest of us are stuck with bows and arrows or something. It just seems like there is nothing that can be done to prevent this crap from happening.

First we need to stop blaming the inanimate objects and blame the individuals.

For the longest time, I thought it was just me.

Bull****.

The facility has been around longer that Obama.

I'll bet that most of the security personnel and their procedures gave been around longer also.

Bush was no better than anyone else.

You do know that 9/11 took place during Bush's watch, right?

Do you blame him for that?

Yea, I didn't think so.

Hypocrite.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard
