Active gunmen in US navy Yard [W:69, 700]

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

I think it is more likely to be one of those Christians you here so much about. I understand there are lots of them in the U.S.

Reports are that the perp was a Buddist.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

No Muslim shooters in the US yet, but one.

Most are American white boys.

Nothing like combining ignorance and hyperbole.

Your count is wrong.

Nothing like pretending Muslims have only murdered Americans in the US once with guns.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

Lets just clarify right now that guns or the availability of guns, or the fetishization of guns, or anything having to do with guns clearly has no role in this shooting. With a gun.
But heck, it could have been a hammer.
But guns have nothing do do with this. For sure.

Right, it could have been a hammer, but according to a lot of news reports it was a gun, or guns.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

the shooter looks like it could have been Obama's son...

He never asserted all muslims were violent or responsible for the attack. he asserted that his first thought was that the attacker was muslim

Ugh, if we were talking about an abortion clinic a Christian would be my first thought. The same would be true of you and everyone else rejecting the fact that in this attack his first thought was that the guy was muslim

Yeah, people get offended by all manner of reasonable assessments. Ever here of the saying "the truth hurts"? But someone taking offense to something doesn't mean it's not a reasonable or valid assessment

It's like hearing about a dog killing a kid and thinking of pit bulls, only to have somebody chastise you for it.

You don't keep up much on world events,do you?

Please continue to allow your dogmatism to override reality if it helps you fit in with your mates, though, k?.

That's once since 911. Hardly an everyday occurrence, is it? Out of the eighty seven shooting deaths a day in the USA, one event in 12 years is a vanishingly small number.

Do the math as they allegedly say in your country, despite the fact theat "maths" is plural.

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

honestly, I just ignore that stuff. Ass-hat partisanship is way too common on this board to even give it a second thought

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

So the Navy cannot defend itself from a shooter?

No. the U.S. Navy can defend itself from a shooter.

This was not an attack on the U.S. Navy.

It was a mass shooting incident at a U.S. Navy facility.

You're comparing this to a general shooting in the US? It's a high profile military target. Assuming that it had some connection to on going military operations and conflicts is hardly CP level thinking.

And again, Islamic radicals have an ongoing tactic of attacking such institutions overseas

ass-hat nationalism, just what this thread needed

Yeah, cuz ass-hat's aren't going to try and turn this into a political agenda or anything, that would be beneath them...

that's the reasoning of a child: I'm going to behave poorly because I know other people will.

Learn some self respect and discipline

it was a sardonic quip, mind you manners and get over yourself...

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

no just seems a little cheap to refrence it in this thread.

Obama's a dirty fighter, I'm sure he'd respect it...

Re: Active gunmen in US navy Yard

What a tragic event. This is just another incident that shows Obama and his administration are weak and can not protect us from terrorism like the Bush administration did.

Why spend the money and time to come all the way over here when we are already over there?
