Now, the UN is saying it is the worst refugee crisis for 20 years, with numbers not seen since the 1994 genocide in Rwanda and over 110,000 dead.

Just shocking. Imagine what the numbers will be in another 2 years time. It's pretty hard to just sit back and know that is happening and there's not a thing you can do to stop it.
Except that there is something that could be done now, and could have been done from the beginning and we wouldn't be here talking about this.

Why are people always fighting the last war? The idiots that were two slow to realize the WMD intel on Iraq was bulls*** are now too slow to realize that because that intel from the last war shouldn't be used as an argument against intel from this war.

Note the "mushroom cloud over a US city away" vs. the 1,400 dead bodies from the gas cloud that was actually used. I don't have an intelligence clearance, but I'm willing to believe that either the intelligence community has abundant evidence to support their position, or they are out-right lying to us, and I see no benefit to them or anyone if they are lying.

The UN report released today confirmed evidence of a sarin attack and noted impacted rocket remnants as evidence. If the rebels used sarin, wouldn't they have set off a stationary bomb loaded with the stuff in the area they wanted to affect? Because it doesn't seem that they have the technical ability or training to launch a rocket and know where it's going to hit.

If and when the Syrian regime gives up their CW, will that convince you it was them?

Well I don't dispute that they have them. And think that they should get rid of them, but the AP and many other sources prove that it was the terrorist extremists in Syria that used them.

As long as there are defense contracters needing to make a buck there is a chance that the intelligence is being manipulated.

The U.S. has been arming and training the rebels. Just like how the U.S. trained Noriega and other "freedom fighters". McCain made a "secret trip" to Syria and met with the rebels and Al-Qaeda. We don't know what national security secrets he gave away or how much money he gave the rebels.

Which demonstrates that there are conflicting reports. Further reason not to affix blame because it fits the policy.

Actually the problem with that is that the UN Report doesn't actually argue who did the attack, just if one occurred.

I would also say that the rebels have had the capability to do the attack as they had surface to surface missiles.

    Reported August 23, 2013:

"The Free Syrian Army - as well as the Al-Qaeda affiliated al-Nusra Front and other groups - have also been using increasingly potent captured artillery. This has included Grad surface-to-surface rockets analysts say were vital to the Islamist-led push into Latakia." (Syria government, rebels ramp up conventional weapons use | Reuters)'

    Reported in July 2013:

"These antiaircraft, antitank, and surface-to-surface weapons are in the hands of both the Free Syrian Army (FSA), which is considered relatively moderate, and the local and global Islamist forces, and are being used to combat aircraft, armored vehicles, and regime bases." (Syrian Rebels Developing Rocket, Missile Capabilities To Combat Aircraft, Tanks, And Ground Targets)
"And in the end, we were all just humans, drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness."

ecofarm has shown time after time that he desperately wants the Al-Qaeda supported rebels to overthrow Assad. I've warned people before that Al-Qaeda has pro-terrorist individuals on various forums attempting to spread propoganda on their behalf.

They've already got John McCain on the payroll. It's not surprising that they've got a few less prominent people like ecofarm too.

That wouldn't be a complete surprise.
