:shock: I prefer to think that they are only doing what they can to make BHO, Reid, and Pelosi happy, by making sure that everyone, including unions and others with prior waivers, complies with Obamacare, which is now the law of the land, whether or not anyone agrees with it, or even wants it. Although it appears to be a very poorly written 10,000 pages of language that no one understands, which has necessitated delaying implementation for those that can't meet the deadline, everyone should understand that the writers of the law only had a year to work on it, and while it did require bribes and arm-twisting to get the necessary Dem votes to pass it, because the Repubs said "no thanks!", that's the way things seem to work in today's hyper-partisan DC, I guess.. And it certainly doesn't help when one of the drafters of Obamacare refers to it as a "train wreck," but I suspect he's only verbalizing what most people think anyway.

Since I understand that many of the millions that will be affected by this new health care plan haven't even thought about it yet, it will be interesting to see if there are howls of confused outrage when they do, after learning that many of the promises that were made to them about this great new healthcare plan were not true. :sigh: Such is life!

You're absolutely correct..... He's already issued a boatload of waivers to unions and other groups that funded himself and other progressives already... Meanwhile his IRS is attacking conservative groups - not only that but branding non-progressive groups "terrorists."

Before the tyrant was even elected I told people the progressive fascist clown was going to do just that - no one believed me...

His agenda is textbook - he's a national socialist. Socially he's no better than Hitler - he may not be committing mass genocide in the United States however he's certainly attacking some and rewarding others in an attempt to destroy and punish...

This is why progressives love him so much - because Obama want's to punish conservatives and reward progressives...

Progressives are evil because they take joy in this fascism, racism and his all-out bias.

Yes...especially the ****heads who supported passage and now dont want it. Absolutely. Not only the unions but the families of every elected democrat that voted for it.

So it should only be repealed for Republicans? Are we back to that?

(Your above definition applies to a lot of self-proclaimed "Conservatives," also. But I'm sure you don't mean them...)

nobody has argued it should be repealed only for Republicans... why do you insist on creating strawmen?

That's exactly what's being argued. Force it on Unions and anyone who voted for Obama, but the same people want to repeal it for themselves.

Personally, I'd think that if you don't like Obamacare, you'd be in favor of as many waivers as possible. Repubs are just going back to beating their favorite whipping boy because it's popular with their anti-union base.

Repeal it for everyone. Treat everyone the same. I realize this is a difficult concept for liberals to accept, but I urge you to try.

what is being argued is that Republicans don't want unions to be treated better than everyone else when it comes to the law.
despite your argument to the contrary....not one Republican has said " let's repeal obamacare, but only for ourselves"... not one.

now, maybe you can give us an good argument as to why unions should not be treated like everyone else under Obamacare?...what affords them special treatment?

I sincerely hope it would be illegal.... but, to be honest, I'm not all that confident... not in todays political climate.
too many people are shooting for special treatment under the law, and getting it.
 
This Nation has had a labor/corporate war since before Charlie Chaplin. Chaplin was blacklisted for producing movies that made fun of repetitious and monotonous factory jobs. Since the early 1900s, the USA has subsidized Corporate and kicked labor in the teeth, metaphorically. Wars, for example, are big subsidies to the military/corporate industrial complex and big energy. Nuclear plants are totally subsidized because they are not economically feasible. Huge windmills are considered Renewable Energy so real renewable energy monies don't go to homeowners with local generation. Too big to fail banks are subsidized so the very wealthy stay wealthy. Where do the subsidy monies come from? John Q. Taxpayer, also known as, you and I. I suspect somehow this Obamacare legislation kicks labor in the teeth, but I honestly don't see how. I'm all for Obamacare because it's better to give anything to all the taxpayers instead of a few of the wealthy.

I have to believe that something like that will end up in court and I don't believe that it would pass the smell test with most judges.

Of course we'll have to wait and see how it turns out, but I find it hard to believe that it will ever survive a legal challenge.

Message to Republicans... grow a pair... fund all of government, but defund ObamaKare now. That'll put an end to the BS known as the Obamakare nightmare.

Don't you remember that the democrats control the senate and Obama is in the White House? Any bill that contains a provision for defunding obamacare is dead on arrival in the senate.
