No, no one said Trayvon's behavior was menacing before he beat on Zimmerman, but there was a recent rash of break ins in the neighborhood, and he wasn't recognized, so Zimmerman checked him out to be safe. There's nothing wrong with that. It's happened to me when I've walked through upscale neighborhoods that I don't live in, and I'm a white guy.

Now, Trayvon beating on Zimmerman, that was menacing behavior, worthy of what he received.

Not all that much really. I've just been around people who carry guns more than most people. The presence of a gun doesn't make me uncomfortable unless I think someone's likely to misuse it. Or unless they point it at me, which is actually covered by point #1.

But I'm hardly unique. I daresay most cops, soldiers, hunters or sport shooters have had the experience of arguing with another man while guns were present, without necessarily feeling concerned that the guns would be USED.

Now I'll grant you that Zimmerman does not have a track record of being all that great on impulse control or judging long-term consequences of his actions so much... but even so I doubt he'd shoot his wife just because he was angry.

there was physical evidence and eyewitnesses in that case.

Like I said, I appreciate that how you measure feeling threatening is different and valid for you. I am pointing out that as a women we draw that line in a different place because it exists in a different place. It is out of necessity not sensitivity. You have to stop them BEFORE they get mad enough to act rashly or loose control because once they do you are defenseless. Even if the gun was not the threat, if he was saying and doing what she claims he was trying to intimidate her with threatening behavior. Men do that. Not all, but it is a male behavior.

I'm talking about his decision to follow him in the first place not his reaction to Trayvon jumping him

There was no reason to disbelieve his word because the evidence in toto said it was believable.

    And about Trayvon - Wrong!
He was not just walking through the neighborhood. The evidence is that he was acting suspiciously, which of course is subjective to the viewer.
The police were dispatched to check it out. You don't get to second guess that.

    So back to your reply.
She didn't say her husband was acting suspiciously, she made direct allegations.
Have I said the police shouldn't have responded to her call?

that decision, while exhibiting less than stellar judgment, was not illegal.

Re: George Zimmerman in Custody After Gun Incident

The asshole punched his father-in-law in the face possibly breaking his nose. It doesn't matter if she pleads to let him go and claims him to be an angel ...that's assault.
    He' going to jail.

How can GZ both have been taken at his word and charged with second degree murder?

Please let this not turn into another national celebrity court case.
