Regardless, his language was threatening. That is if she has provided an accurate account of what he said.

Her feelings are irrelevant to whether his alleged (now recanted) having a gun in hand was a crime.

Anyone can feel threatened... it isn't a crime unless reasonable menacing behavior was involved, along with opportunity and ability to carry out same.

Now I don't know exactly what happened, I wasn't there and the story keeps changing... I'm just saying that a gun's presence doesn't necessarily mean squat, unless it is 'brandished' in a menacing manner. Granted my background is a bit unusual but I've had quite a few heated arguments with other men while we were both armed, without feeling like I was in peril of being shot.

That fits perfectly with what I have imagined you to look like.

Toughest lady I ever knew was 5'1" tall. She married a guy 6'2", damn her. (I'm 5'8".) Her son, 6' tall, often had the pleasure of looking at her eye-to-eye as she stood on a CHAIR to get in his face. Chased him down the street in her car one night when he stormed out of the house at 17. She'd have run his ass OVER!!!! I have absolutely no doubt.

She took no **** and gave no quarter. Loved that gal. Patsy, I miss ya'.

From what I heard on the tape in the OP the weapon was never pulled, he just had his hand on it...But the punch in the nose would be assault, and domestic violence....Say bye, bye to the gun permit.

I don't disagree with that. I got a little sidetracked trying to understand that if she overreacted how I could sympathize with that. It's a serious thing to get wrong, if she did, but I get it.

I also agree that we don't know but we are free to speculate here. I certainly am not committed to any understanding yet but I do have an opinion based on his past actions and what is known so far.

Ummm...yeah. I this qualifies your perspective on this as "special".

Re: George Zimmerman in Custody After Gun Incident

Pretty common story where the wife decides not to press charges and has to lie and say nothing happened.

You took GZ's word for it that Trayvon's was behavior was menacing enough to warrant following him and all he was doing was walking through the neighborhood. Why not her?
