I'm a bit baffled by Kerry and his offhand comment that became the genesis for the President's possible out.

First, how does one in such an important position, speaking about such an important issue, throw out what was suggested was a sarcastic comment?

I've been in hundreds of meetings where the future of the world isn't at stake, and I've been very aware of every word I've spoken.

I don't know, but it seems to me it's reasonable to be a little concerned about the leadership being shown on this issue.
The only suggestion I can come up with is there may be another country that's going to be invaded that we don't know about yet, and they are laying the groundwork for that. Other than that possibility, who knows?

You know, given what you posted, I'm thinking it's no surprise President Obama doesn't look weak in your eyes. In fact, I'd go so far as to guess, it would be improbable he would ever look weak in your eyes.

When President Obama is asking Vladimir what he would like for dessert, I'm sure you will find that a show of strength and control as well.

Well, we have to keep in mind that there are a lot of ex Clintonites in Obama's inner circle....If we remember what Clinton did to deflect scrutiny for the pressure of impeachment approaching him at the time, the response, or one of the things done was to bomb an aspirin factory. Obama is embroiled in scandal, after scandal that is dogging his administration that I am sure he thought he could slide through his second term, and these things wouldn't be a problem until after he was gone, so what does he do? grasp for anything he can to change the subject....

    Greetings, greengirl.

I don't understand why you believe Bush was "weak" on Iraq, yet BHO did the same thing in Libya, and is contemplating doing the exact same thing in Syria, and yet he is not weak, using your criteria. Where do you see a difference?

So it's now looking like Russia doesn't want a binding UN resolution on Syrian WMDs as part of the deal... so I guess the deal is not likely happen.

But then I think Russia will have gotten exactly what they wanted out of the political maneuver anyway. Putin ends up looking like a peace maker, Obama will be seen by the world as refusing an option for peace, and Assad will be all but untouchable for the remainder of the Obama presidency at least since there is not a chance Obama will try this again.

The House and Senate vote is moot. Obama's only competency as president is in local politics, and he knows what an attack on Syria would do to his legacy at this point.

Oh I see. Yeah weak.....like Obama and his team Trying to State that Syria is a Threat to our National Security. and looking to tie it in anyway they can. When the true reality is.....Syria isn't a threat to our National Security at all. Kind alike going and attacking Syria with some Strikes.....huh?

So yeah.....I can understand your confusion over what is weak in argument while dealing with the present.

Good grief...the speech writers for Obama have to be pulling their hair out....Damnit, another re-write!

The reason is pretty simple Bush lied put boots on the ground killed service men and woman, lied to everyone!! Pretty easy to compare the two don't you think.
