Obama couldn't say they weren't ready.. and we can't choose their form of government or their leaders... Any person we promote would be perceived as just another US stooge.

The various factions in each country have to want peace MORE than we want it for them.

    Good afternoon, ecofarm.

Thanks so much for posting Don Henley's "Dirty Laundry" song. I haven't heard it in a while, and it's always been one of my favorites! again! Very applicable to today's news!

Obama has failed, in everything he has touched. At the end of the day, whenever that will be, his Syria misadventure will end in failure as well. The best that could have happened would have been for congress to voted no and for him to have gone and sat down in a corner and pouted for a day or two. The entire Syria crisis is one that Obama manufactured with his mouth and his decisions to appoint two incompetents to head his foreign policy team. Nobody from the right had anything to do with it.
The big winner is Putin and the big loser is Obama. Assad must be pleased as well.

How about cooperation for mutual benefit? How about prosperity? Taking such an antagonistic position helps no one and costs even this country far more than we'd benefit in return.

No one's claiming the Cold War isn't over and our President could turn around the relationship with Russia any time he wants to. Question is: When's he going to start working on that?
Many years ago... I get the Obama hatred. But it's gotten kind of old. Completely blocking out every single good thing he does for this country erases any chance for real criticism.

At my age I am long past CON-torting. I find it interesting for all the Cons hated the idea of 'war mongering' or 'face saving' missile attacks, depending on the hour, they seem to hate even more this has moved to reducing Assad's ability to use chemical weapons without military action.

What Obama hatred? The man is dishonest and incompetent but no one has said they 'hate' him. If there is any 'hatred' it should be directed at the fools who voted for him.

The whole situation wouldn't have been so poorly handled by this administration had Obama not let his mouth write a check he had no intention of cashing....He's a wuss, and the world knows it now....Thanks progressives for neutering the US.

Well, they sure like to throw his words back up in his face. True we can't choose their form of government nor their leaders. But then we don't have to promote anything that deals with them. Nor give them any aid and not even in disasters. Until they are wittled down to the very remote and useless.
