That depends, do you feel the U.S. should be the world police?

The problem I have with people thinking the U.S. should be the world police (not saying you do until you let us know), is that we can't be everywhere and we can't police everyone. So when we do decide to "police" a country, we usually do a poor job and even the decision of where to police is lousy. How many deaths happen in Africa, North Korea, China, etc? We can't do it all and frankly we shouldn't do any of it. We have a U.N. for a reason and if the members of the U.N. can't pony up money, troops, and support, we should just withdraw and be done with them.

Well, according to the bragging rebels/terrorists they have been able to defeat Regime forces, take over facilities, while even executing their prisoners. Right in the Middle of the Street.

Moreover we even have had an Assad defector who stated their were facilities that were easily open for the taking. That Assad's forces at some could not stop the Rebels from over-running them. Especially in the North.

There is no way to police Syria... But that's not really the objective. The objective is to stop the use of Sarin gas everywhere.

You do know that Assad's brother is a ruthless man and he controls the Syrian armed forces.

Exactly, you are correct, there is no way to police Syria. So, if the objective is to stop the use of Sarin gas everywhere, then Obama's plan of a strike is in no way going to accomplish that since he had already said the strikes would NOT be at the chemical facilities nor will there be boots on the ground to get the Sarin gas. His whole plan is just plain stupid.

Both sides are bad people. We shouldn't be supporting either.

F**f America and it's insane policy of bombing every nation it does not agree with. Why don't the Chines do this or the Russians? How many wars has Russia fought on foreign soil?
At least GWB had some military service on his resume where is Obama's service record? Is it next to his birth certificate?
    It's nothing more than X's and O's.

The objective is to degrade delivery systems... NO "boots" on the ground.

Theonly thing the strikes will "degrade" is Assad's military. Not the delivery systems and not the gas. Both sides are bad people, so you are wanting a group with Al-qaeda ties to gain control of the Sarin gas? Remember, no boots on the ground so the only ones who will benefit are the rebels with Al-Qaeda ties.

Assad is a wimp.. and appears to be on valium.

Watch his interview with Barbara Walters a couple of years ago. He was so vague and unaware of what was going on around him... detached ...

The power I in the hands of his brother and hardline uncles.
