    Pounced on for what? The fact that there is no viable replacement for petro-fuels? Or, for allowing a KGB lackey, who misses the good ol' days of Soviet Communism and a bunch of islamofacists gain control of most of the world's oil supply?

    Oh I don't know, the fellas that always deny that US military aggression in the ME is always about oil and not the stated reasons.

    Well, I suppose he has the same right as any Congressman to support any position he wishes. He made it clear that he's not rounding up votes for the White House...that's the WH's job.
