‘This is not peace, it is an armistice for 20 years.’ (Ferdinand Foch. After the Treaty of Versailles, 1919).
Again...What does that have to do with Syria???
In fact, your examples go to show how we keep messing up in the area. Not how we need to keep going INTO the area.
So how many times must I be shown the "reality?" I have seen the reality and it is foolish....to keep messing about in the Middle East. You have yet to justify our use of military force on a nation we are not at war with.
If I stop responding it doesn't mean I've conceded the point or agree with you. It only means I've made my point and I don't mind you having the last word. Please wait a few minutes before "quoting" me. I often correct errors for a minute or two after I post before the final product is ready.

"As incompetence, deception, duplicity and dishonesty become the hall marks of the Obama administration, it is important that we not lose sight of the greatest danger posed beyond these serial scandals: the feminization, emasculation and dismantling of our military. The two most important elements of national survival are the media and the military; one keeps us free and the other keeps us secure. We know the media are failing – God help us if the military does also. We may be able to fix the government in 2014. Fixing the military is more problematic."

Feminizing America's Fighting Force: The Military Leadership Diversity Commission Recommended Putting Women into Combat Roles, Ignoring an Exhaustive Study Recommending the Opposite:
>" With "don't ask, don't tell" scrapped by congressional vote late last year and open homosexuals now free to be all they can be in the armed forces, activists determined to force social change on America's military have once again turned their efforts toward placing women into combat roles..."<

>"Looking back, clearly what we see is two long-term processes running in parallel. The first is the decline of U.S. armed forces (as well as all other Western ones, but that is not our topic here). The second is their growing feminization."<

>"You want to know one of the reasons why we have so little to show for our efforts in Iraq and why Afghanistan is turning into Obama’s Vietnam, what happened to Behenna is it. Instead of honoring soldiers who kill the enemy, even in self-defense, we are punishing them. The kind of action that used to get you the Medal of Honor will get you locked up today.
Sadly, all that will probably be just fine with the new pretty-in-pink military President Obama, the Democrats, and eight turncoat Republicans just gave us. "<
Bryan Fischer: The feminizing of the U.S. military:
Russia's navy is designed for surface warfare, basically sinking U.S. Navy ships. American destroyers are designed for providing air defense and anti submarine defense for our carriers. Obama had allowed our navy to fall in a state of disrepair that we don't have any carriers to take on the Russian navy's ships.
I think Putin knows this and Obama has already fired those in the U.S. military who also knew it and replaced them with REMF's yes men.
Obama is so incompetent he has already told Assad what will be targeted by our Tomahawk cruise missiles.
But who knows, maybe we do have "ships that go underwater" ?
It's like the excellent submarine movie "Das Boot".
The commando they are bringing on a mission looks around apprehensively at valves and pipes (routinely) leaking and says "How deep will this thing go, anyway"? and the captain says "All the way to the bottom if we don't stop her".
