Well right now he is not going to do an air strike without congressional approval. But what are the costs of ignoring that situation completely?

Re: "No boots on the ground in Syria," Says Obama

President Obama avoids what might have been the pretext for a future impeachment vote and shifts responsibility for action onto Congress, God help them. There will be hawkish Republicans and gotta-act-tough-on-foreign-policy Democrats versus isolationist Republicans and pacifist Democrats. This should be interesting. I'm breaking out the popcorn now.

Obama can't even put a Carrier Strike Group in the Mediterranean Sea because the carrier that's suppose to be the "surge" carrier to be used in an emergency can't deploy because the ships crew haven't been efficiency trained for deployment because instead of training for deployment they have been sitting in the class rooms receiving their mandatory indoctrination in PC sensitivity training.

But that's where the term originated (British - WWII) . . .they call their selves "grunts" and they go to "the ****" as well.

I'm not offended by it - I prefer a president who is hesitant to use our troops as such.

That's why todays Navy is refereed to "Todays PC Navy."

For the past 4 1/2 years the current administration has been redefining the purpose and character of the U.S. military. On more than a few occasions President Obama said his agenda was to change the face of the U.S. military in the name of diversity by using social engineering.

The U.S. military has been politicized just like the old Soviet Union's military was by Joseph Stalin during the 1920's and 30's. You now actually have political officers serving in the U.S. military. They don't call them political officers yet, but that's exactly what they are.

U.S. Navy: enhancing an inclusive environment

Women in combat, teaching kids about STEM, and mid-service sabbaticals are some of the new and never-expected changes within the U.S. Navy

    >" Building on commitments to foster a more inclusive work environment as well as opportunities for women, the U.S. Navy is moving full steam ahead with diversity and inclusion initiatives and recruitment and promotion objectives, says Commander Merry-Angela Katson, who heads the Navy office of diversity and inclusion.

And for the vast majority who are already serving in the military who oppose the military being politicized and being used for liberal social engineering, Obama's Secretary of Defense said "If you don't like it, get out." Can you frickin believe that ? And yesterday President Obama called the U.S. military his military.

    It's a lose lose situation.

The Obama administration had it's chance over a year ago but he abandoned the entire Middle East and North Africa with his failed foreign policies and by surrounding himself with second rate people.

The Syrian civil war is actually a religious civil war, Sunni vs. Shiite.

The Iranians are allied with Assad and Al Qeda is allied with the Sunni rebels.

America and the West lose no matter who wins.

Obama could have worked with Putin over a year ago to bring a peaceful end to this religious war but Obama refused to sit at the table.

BTW: Does anyone miss G.W. Bush yet ? When Bush left the White House the Middle East wasn't a complete basket case as it is today and Al Qaeda wasn't on the run all over the Middle East and North Africa. Al Qaeda was pretty much confined to Yaman and the Horn of Africa back in 2008.

Nothing like keeping the focus on fighting and destroying our nations enemies. LOL.

No disrespect to your opinion, but... "Boots on the ground" is not a demeaning term to those of us that have or are serving their country. It takes a lot to wear those boots. Those boots are earned and are a "badge of honor." Those that do or have worn those boots, are proud to be referred to in that way. Never met anyone that wasn't.
