Nice try poweRob. Your post above is what happens when someone has no defense; attempt a smoke screen by blaming the messenger.

What happened to Obama, The One We have Been Waiting For? Mr. Hope & Change? The man who himself claimed to have such great judgment? The man lost without a teleprompter? The man who scores goals on himself and screws America with nonsense like a "Red Line" when he has no deep conviction of carrying out said threats. A man who thinks his words alone carry weight.

Obama's words are hollow, and all the leaders of the world, our allies and enemies know it. That, combined with his domestic failures makes him an even worse president than Carter.

The One We Have Been Waiting For... Hope & Change... Post-Partisan... ROTFLOL... his presidency alone is the stuff that could resurrect Saturday Night Live... if they'd only use it.

I am interested to see how it plays out.
If you do not believe what the media is selling then why are you interested to see (from the media) how this is played out? Just a small critique here, no biggie.

What I wanted to tell you though is that Obama may have not expected a counteroffensive media campaign from Putin. Usually dictators in Dardania, Egypt, Libya, were "toast" because they followed a similar pattern. Send in intel to find data, build on media by emphasizing the dictators wrong doings, gain the trust of the people in NATO countries and the dictators', and conduct military strikes.

But analyzing the moves over and over Putin managed to refute many of media allegations back to Obama. Assad kills schoolchildren for making anti government grafiti as well as their parents for going to the graves of their loved ones, and the revels protest (USA), well those rebels are not civil and eat hearts and livers (Putin). Assad gasses his own unarmed civilians and UN inspectors are sent (USA), well it is not known who gassed whom and inspectors are out (Putin).

He refutes the build up before it gets big enough for him to stop it at the other end. Russia could not stop a UN resolution for Bosnia, Dardania when it got that big. They learned from their mistakes and now are more pro-actively refuting media strikes before they grow.

It is down to media wars. Who influences whom to think who is right. Being critical though may reveal these games done on top of people who are really killed there, but may not help with decisiveness needed to act (for there is always new refuted developments put into the analysis). I think Obama realized that and has put the case to Congress.

The risk being it takes more time for a decision there. Time that Putin could use to fortify his policies with Assad both with media and militarily.

Is it possible that Obama knows that Iran or Syria will attack Israel, thereby giving him the tools needed to get Western agreement and allowing a large effort against Assad by North America and Western Europe? Are large military contractors lobbying DNC and GOP to get another war going for major profit?
According to constitutional scholars, Obama's action in Libya was impeachable. According to both Russia and China it was an abuse of the UN resolution, but then your a soldier, I understand you love your occupation.

I am only a reservist nowadays, and my primary occupation is in SAP consulting. I am proud of my time spent in USAF, CT-ANG, and even USAF CAP. I am also proud of my father's effort in USMC and my son's efforts in USMC. My family has served our country honorably and I would call it a high point of my life. I believe Obama is an American hero, will be remembered by history kindly, and that he has NEVER done anything Unconstitutional, nor has he ever committed any high crimes or misdemeanors. I think people just like to whine, and I find it's almost exclusively people who never served their country. So if some scholars are whining, it means less than nothing to me. They can whine after they spend time in Italy, Germany, and Saudi Arabia like I had to, or Korea and Vietnam like my dad had to, or Afghanistan and Iraq like my son has to now. Then they have skin in the game and I care what they think.

No defense? You haven't even bothered to find out where I stand on this topic. I happen to be with carter on this and opposed to Obamas approach. They are both offering completely opposite positions yet what is amazing is watching you throwing stones at both of them. You are 100% illogical because your POV is driven by emotion rather than logic.

Its blatantly obvious that you dropped this topic here with the names in place then molded your disdain for the names in place not even knowing that it made you have yourself positioned not only sitting on the fence but taking both sides of the topic at the same time.

Bottom line is, you've been here for some time now and I've yet to see you stand FOR anything. We all know you hate, who you hate and that you hate them a lot. One day maybe we can all see what you actually like.

How is it no surprise to me that you find the constitutional opinion of a scholar worth "less than nothing"

You're right that most of his words are hollow.

But of the very few that have substance, they are treasonous.

Why doesn't Carter just go away...Doesn't he know he is not president any longer?

Carter's plan for "Peace Talks" is ridiculous. Does he really believe that a man who gasses his own people would talk peace? Or that the factions fighting Assad would suddenly stop now? It is foolish idea and poorly thought out.
