Belief systems, especially irrational belief systems, can influence people to take illogical actions and therefore are at least partially to blame for those actions. There are lots of things that occur for which, if religion was not involved, those actions could not logically have happened.

Stop being an apologist and deal with the fact that religion is not necessarily a positive.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Also, if he was 'killing enemy soldiers", who is the enemy of these soldiers?

There are millions of Muslims who are nice people and, according to statistics, many millions who are not.

So no, I wouldn't put an end to Muslim immigration. I understand that extremism is rampant in this particular religion more so than others, but usually the extremists come from directly from the most poor and uneducated parts of the Middle East.[/QUOTE]

Actually most of the terrorists are very well educated, such as in 9/11, 7/7 and , more recently, in Boston. And the topic of this discussion was extremely well educated.

Nor is the lack of religion. It's after they're incarcerated that most of the prisoners 'find God'.

Sure, like a person that blames inanimate objects, such as religion (or guns), for harm in the world. It's crazy, no doubt.

I would say "some" are educated, most are not.
