Oh? Well, please enlighten this "ignorant con" with some brilliant repartee about the wonderful Rev Wright. Perhaps with some beautiful spin on what he really meant when he called upon God to damn America - as good a place as any to start, wouldn't you think?

And if I'm so ignorant about the Rev Wright, perhaps you could enlighten me as well about Obama's associations with William Ayers, Berhadine Dohrn, Anita Dunn, Frank Marshall Davis, Jeff Jones, Van Jones, et. al. - given that that was my point, that such associations as these have helped to shape and define the man Obama. Unless of course by your not replying to what I said about them that you agree that these associates of his (et. al.) do in fact define him?

Ahhh, well that was quick, reverting by way of rejoinder to an Ayn Rand snark. Lovely.

There is no "brilliant repartee" that can change your mind, so why should I make the effort. Your words show what you believe and as with many True Believers (tm) there is no rational means of changing those beliefs.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

Interesting how the Ayn Rand connection came from nowhere to marginally influence then utterly dominate your reply. And without my having to say a thing... And to totally avoid making even the slightest attempt to respond to my questions.

...which only means of course that you can't.

    ...and you know it.

Aw damn! and he thought that was clever....
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

As noted in your introductory notes over on that thread "Hi", it was pointed out by others that your avatar is from the cover of Ayn Rand's fantasy tale, Atlas Shrugged Use of such an image does provide a bit of insight into your thoughts.

Here are some recent words from one of those individuals you have labeled "Communist" - I'll have you do the Google to determine the author
... the reality is that we are entering an era during which our very survival will demand invention and innovation on a scale never before seen in the history of human civilization. Only the business community has the requisite skills, experience, and capital to meet that need. On that score, neither the government nor the nonprofit and voluntary sectors can compete, not even remotely.

You got me good there. Yes, I admit, I do like reading good fiction.

Thanks to the Obama administration and previous administrations. Our Intelligence agencies should be doing all they can to gather information on those exterior to the U.S. in the interest of the U.S. just as I expect pretty much every other country to act as well.
