Re: WWII Vet, 88, brutally beaten in Spokane, Wash.
You know, so many bad things happen, every day, that make me shake my head, and worry about the state of the world. But I have become desensitized to a lot, because it's just so common now, to hear bad news. This story, though - broke my heart. This guy survived World War II, only to be beaten to death in the parking lot, while waiting to escort a friend so she wouldn't have to walk alone.
This is more than just a little shocking, this story is headline news even across the pond:
Amerikaanse oorlogsheld (88) doodgeschopt door tieners
translation: American war hero (88) kicked to death by teens
