I was close. He was found at 3 AM Monday morning here in Spokane. He is sitting in jail right now.

Actually it is. I know it is hard for you to believe, but yes; they use the same federal income tax laws in SD as they do in IL and they have the same federal poverty level in those two places as well. I will bet that, other than for housing costs, most things cost about the same in both of those places, even a Happy Meal, a roll of toilet paper or a 2X4 board.

Are you trying to say that a low skilled job (e.g. fast food worker/retail cashier) pays over twice as much in IL as it does in SD?

Don't know about twice as much, but fast food workers make more in higher cost-of-living areas. They have to. Back when minimum wage was 3.35 an hour, Hubs lived in California and fast food workers there made over 7.00 an hour. I remember a few years ago when the grocery workers went on strike, I was astounded to learn that clerks and baggers in Southern California were making upwards of $20 an hour. In the deep South, they make minimum wage.

So poor people and SS retirees (those on fixed incomes) are simply idiots to stay in these high cost of living areas?

The cost of living in these areas where wages are so out of round with the rest of the country are higher as well...I moved 5 years ago out of Maryland, not because I didn't like the area, not because I didn't have friends, not because I did something other than what I do now, no....I left because ever increasing taxation, and stupid fees, fines, and government intrusion like camera's every damned where, not to mention that the cost of buying a house was out of this world....In Maryland a typical no frills 2,300 sq ft. home was about $250k to $300k, and property tax was about $5k to $8k per year, down here in SC, I bought the same 2,300 sq ft. home, with a pool, and hot tub, for $180k, and property tax of $800 per year....You tell me what progressives bring?

The chief of police said again this morning that race was not a factor. He knows this how? WTF is this guy expecting whites to riot? I'm going to look into this cop, my guess is he's a big time lib DNC whore.

My "agenda" is to use proven facts as the basis for honest discussions.

Actually no it isn't. They do have the same federal income tax laws in SD as they do in IL but that doesn't mean anything when the cost of living is roughly 25% higher in Chicago than it is in SD. That is for every day items as well. The only thing that comes even close to the cost of living in Chicago as Rapid City is the utilities and even that is still 10% higher than SD.

So yes, you aren't comparing apples to apples here, more like apples to pears(this being South Dakota).

Its in the same food category but that is as close as it comes.
