You ever bother to think the government IS a domestic enemy??? - It's our government that are violating the Constitution every day.
Now that's a bag full of Looney Beans...ever think you're an anarchist?

Manning wouldn't know the Constitution if it smacked him in the face- he didn't act out of some patriotic duty and love of country, he acted out to get attention and he got it- 35 years worth of it!

Provide an example of such allegation- and no, you can't just make it up- proof is what I ask for.

Do you know why the RVN government refused to prosecute Lt. Calley for murder ? I do.

Do you know why Lt. Calley couldn't be prosecuted for committing a war crime ? I do.

Do you know why President Nixon pardon Lt. Calley ? I do and also the vast majority of veterans ( mostly WW ll vets) and the majority of all Americans back during the 1970's who concured with President Nixon's decision.
Status of forces agreement, same reason the Japanese don't get to prosecute sailors/marines who rape little Okinawan girls- if the USofA government doesn't agree the 'host' nation can't try the criminal.

Does the additional charge of war crime matter? Convicted of the murder of 22 unarmed men, women and children. My only question was why only him.

Did you know 5 out of the 6 officers trying Calley were combat vets and voted to convict? Using the excuse that mass civilian murders have happened in the past by our troops, hell go back to Sand Creek and Custer if you want to, but that doesn't excuse what Calley did.

Nixon granted a pardon over the conviction by combat officers due to the very unpopular war going very badly and the fact Calley should never have been made an Officer.

Pretty much the rest think he committed a crime of some sort. Don't let the loud-mouth US-hating fringe over-represent what Americans think about Manning.
LOL. Rasmussen is known to be a biased reporter.

Cato Institute, Rasmussen poll results said politically biased

Rasmussen: A pollster made for Fox News | Research | Media Matters for America

So I would take what they say with a grain of salt.

" Rasmussen Reports has done polls that show that the country is split roughly 50/50. Other polls vary but generally show Manning supporters to be between 30 and 50 percent of the US population." (OpEdNews - Article: Americans Expose Their Politics Through Debate Over Bradley Manning)
"And in the end, we were all just humans, drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness."

That dirty little secret is suppose to be a secret.

To put it in layman terms, what happens on the "Rock", stays on the "Rock."

Or as liberals/progressives say, it's just one of the consequences of liberal social engineering of the military. If you don't like it, get out.

Well Manning Defense team now says they will request a Pardon from Obama.....as they are going to have Manning write him to explain why he did what he did. Even asking for Time Served.

Bradley Manning plans to ask for White House pardon.....

Bradley Manning’s defense team plans to ask President Barack Obama to pardon the soldier, who was sentenced to 35 years in prison for giving thousands of secret government documents to WikiLeaks.

Manning’s lawyer, David Coombs, said Wednesday he would file a request early next week with the Department of the Army with the hope of making its way to the president, asking him either to pardon Manning or commute his sentence to time served.

Manning is going for the whole nine yards. He already had his sentence cut almost in half because he was gay.

It's very likely Obama will pardon Manning in January of 2017.

That disgraceful dirty fact isn't a secret. The Japanese protest every young girl rape. demand the offending sailor/marine be turned over and are rebuffed.

Been going on waaaay before your 'social engineering' so quit blaming it for everything.

Status of forces is no secret.

I do note you have dropped any debate and just fell back to your 'alamo' social engineering position...

Now my point was the military rarely delivers the max sentence. It also rarely makes a soldier do the entire time. peacetime murder and rape on US soil aside most soldiers get a reduction in sentence sometime along the line. For the military non violent crimes are considered punished more by the BCD than any time spent in a Military Prison.
