Good grief. What hypocrisy? I have said that those who question Obama's citizenship and those who question Cruz's citizenship are dunderheads. Where is the hypocrisy there?

Oh wait, are you arguing that Cruz can't be president? Because that would explain a lot....

And maybe the Congressional Research Service kinda overstepped the parameters of what was fully necessary to define Obama's citizenship but, be that as it may, their research and analysis is their research and analysis and according to them Cruz is a natural born citizen and good to go.

Now, maybe the SCOTUS would have a different opinion. And I suppose if a legitimate plantiff could bring a reasonable case related to the natural born citizenship issue to court they may eventually get around to ruling on it.

But until then the only thing we have approaching a "formal" determination from government is that CRS paper.

And again, it says that if one of your parents is an American citizen then you're a "natural born" American citizen no matter where in the world you're born.

I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with that decision (I agree with it, if you must know), or that I like or dislike Cruz (I can't stand him, if you must know). I'm just saying that it is what it is.

Bull****. He released his birth certificate in the 2008 election and you still had people complaining after that. To pretend like this was some minor thing that barely anyone believed is a load of ****. Going in to the 2012 election there were polls being released that 50% + republican voters still thought he was born in Kenya.

The problem for me is: The constitution says the president must be born in the U.S. (paraphrased). What mechanisms are in place to ensure this is being followed? Like providing a birth certificate. I don't know.

If the liberals in here are truly honest they will acknowledge that it was Hillary in the demo primary who first started the flap about Barry's citizenship, and birth record...Personally, I don't know if Cruz is eligible to run for POTUS, I am not a lawyer....Wiki has this to say...

The big deal is that he is smart, articulate, and a true conservative. Not afraid to call out the idiots on the left and the right, hated by both the left and the rino, Rove republicans. Imagine, a guy that is qualified and knows what he is doing in the Whitehouse!

Fair enough - but hard to stop off for a quick barbeque while on patrol - firefighters, definitely big on barbeque, and so careful not to burn down the firehouse.

A fire department was stocking up for a Forth of July barbeque when an errant spark set off a propane tank that rocketed through the building setting it ablaze.

Soon after the fire chief arrived on the scene and was startled to find his firefighters aligned in a fire bucket line throwing logs into the smoldering building.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!" the chief screamed at the captain who was manning the front of the line.

"Well, chief, after a few minutes we realized the building is a total loss... right now we are just trying to save the meat."

So you've seen Bush's documentation and Obama's documentation? I haven't seen either, except for Obama's birth certificate.

I understand that someone who believes in the Constitution, personal liberty and responsibility could seem like someone from another planet. Of course the left will not be satisfied until the United States is equivalent to a third world country, and judging from the buffoon in the White House now, it is quickly approaching.
