The age restrictions are legislativly applied, either by state or federal laws.
But if you really know anything about the justice system you know very well that juviniles can be charged as adults.
Its up to the judges disgression.
And if you really do, you should know what path these kids are on.
Given a short time, all three will be in adult prison. Or worse.

The reason that "society" uses to base these age restrictions on is because children do not have the mental capacity/development to make mature judgements until they reach 18/21. Is this your rational? Or do you have a different reason for agreeing with age restrictions? Just trying to figure out if you are being hypocritical or if there is a rational reason for your distinction.

I am sure the father can say the same thing in the penalty phase of the civil case and see if the judge buys it.

This father said his kid was good but it was the other two that corrupted him. It is always the other kid that corrupts their kid.

The video didn't show that at all.

It generally is not the "judges disgression", it is generally a decision made by the district attorney to file the case charging them as an adult or not. The district attorney can also choose to file a juvenile "Fitness" petition to give the judge the disgression.

Still doesn't address the question though. What is your reason for agreeing with age restrictions for certain prohibited activities. Do you believe in curfews?

I also think the 3 families need punishment. I think a Child protection services representative should be extremely involved with those families until each of these boys reach 18 years old. I mean a weekly visit and family occasions.

Well seeing as you are from Cali, I doubt you will see anything other than I must be a bigoted hypocrit.
God forbid we actually punish criminals. Heck, your state is opening the doors to the jails and allowing the animals to roam free.
How many? 10,000 have to be released? Yea. Yall are doing a bang up job out there.

I'm giving you the opportunity to explain yourself and show that you AREN'T a hypocrite. If you have a rational basis for the distinction, tell us all. You still haven't addressed the question.

DCF or whatever they are called in Florida now, is a joke. Every case worker has a large percentage of kids they cant find.
Then blame law enforcement for not doing drive bys on mommy and daddy's house to see if junior is abiding by the terms of his probation.

Whats to explain? Unless there is some real punishment, there will be no corrections or rehabilitation.
9 months probation? May have well just done nothing.

Okay I was wondering because you implied that a small "white" town will shield your kids from this. If you think that is true then you need to look at these fight clubs on youtube. Violent fighting is color blind. Look at many of the MMA fighters for example. Most of the fighters are white.

When do you think they starting fighting? When they became adults???

What's to explain?

You indicated that you are in favor of age restrictions on children for things like drinking alcohol, gambling and voting? We are waiting to find out what the basis of your support is? What it is about children that you believe is a rational basis for banning them from these activities?
