It's a triple negative 1 "ain't" 2 "Never" 3. "No". Two negatives become a positive, one is left over. Thus it becomes either "My son has never been a bad person" or "My son ain't ever been a bad person" or the most cumbersome "My son has ever been no bad person".

I am one who believes in trying to rehab, not just lock away. These kids are still young enough to at least try and help turn their lives around.

Sorry, seen it a million times.
Maybe, and that is just maybe if you got them out of the environment that made them what they are. You may have a chance at that.
I have first hand experience with this in my own family.
A monster just like that got a niece pregnant, then pulled an armed robbery, then after he was given a huge break moved in with my sister in law and her family to help raise the child.
He is now in big boy prison for failing a drug test while on probation, stealing from the very people that let him a hand up after totalling their car.
There is no hope for scum like these.

besides the enormous cost of incarceration of three for that span, is that the result we want to achieve? and if you believe their outcome will be different after five years, share with us what you believe that better outcome will be

They get out, realize they were wrong. Did time for it, straighten out. If not, go back to jail for 10 years.
See, once you do things like that. I dont care what color you are, you have no place in decent civil society. So if you are locked a way for the rest of your life? Oh well, no one put you there but you.

No. I didn't watch the video. I don't need to. There is a reason that we have a juvenile system and these kids should be punished in the system. If we as a society have deemed that juveniles do not have the mental capacity to make wise decisions about drinking, voting and gambling, why would we assume that they have the same mental capacity as adults when it comes to using good judgement in other matters? We either should be treating kids as adults for all purposes or we should treat them differently from adults. It is nothing short of hypocrisy to say well...in some cases we will treat them one way and treat them differently in others based on the same rationale.

Uh, no. It's literally a dialect, as I said. And in every society, certain dialects are irrationally looked down upon by many of those who use whatever dialect is used by those in power. In the United States, Standard English is the dialect primarily used by those in power and so many people who use it - like yourself - arrogantly and stupidly look down upon those who other dialects like AAVE and SAE among others by calling their dialect things like "a handicap". It's sad really that so much negative has to come out of the ignorance that people like you display.
