Obama-mask clown gets lifetime Missouri fair ban. Just, or too harsh?[W:395]

Seems everyone has got their panties up in wad over this.

The simple fact is that the clown was working as an employee of the Missouri State Fair Commission and one has to abide by their rules and standards. This is seen in many companies. I just don't think the state fair commission wants to have any of their employees or contracted employees being risque or any way offending people. They actually want "everyone"to come and spend money at their fairs.
I don't see anything wrong if he performs his Obama mask routine at other venues as comedians make fun of politicians all the time. But this was the wrong venue.

Is it really that hard to understand?

What rules and standards are you referring too? And what venues are out of bounds when it comes to laughing at politicians?

At any other time the people responsible would have approached the clown and told him not to do any more political jokes. Instead, in an absurd effort to please, they fired the guy and banned him for life. Now they have been made international fools and a good thing too. Hillbillies, the lot of them. and an embarrassment to what once was a proud and free people.

UBER FAIL!

Try again. FYI, this is the second time I';ve posted this after partisan hackjobs accuse me of being an Obama supporter. You should do some basic research on people you pull wild accusations on. You look really foolish right now.

Google Returns 14 MILLION results for Bull Kills Man

That's pretty embarrassing you didn't even Google before opening your mouth. I also linked three articles/videos of bulls doing just that. And if you think it's so unlikely, how about we put you in a small area with a raging bull? Afraid yet?

Your partisan hackery is showing and it's raging out of control.

How many rodeo events allude to a real person rather than the rodeo clown?

See the question above. You're going to fail.

LOL. My ribs are killing me from laughing so hard. You've made such a fool of yourself you can't even see straight. "Google returns 14 million results for bull kills man" LOL. I typed out the word "dummy" three times in the same line and like a typical liberal; twist, spin. lie, squirm, whatever, you come up with the word man. And pat yourself on the back for it. LOL. How old are you, six?

And to answer your question "how many rodeo events allude to a real person rather than the rodeo clown"? Lots of them. Not all, but enough that everybody always gets the joke except for a bunch of twisted liberals.

The comedy show you and others are putting on is better than sat night live ever thought about being.

You're 100% wrong...

This clowns civil rights were violated -- that's all that matters...

Oh, and I personally wish we lived in world where people could be fired "just because" however, that's NOT our present reality...

You ever had a job? If you did were you allowed to wear whatever you wanted to work? Am sure you could wear a tee shirt with a fetus hanging on a clothes hanger to your place without anyone batting an eyelash.

Many employers have rules on clothing, facial hair, and tattoos. But luckily we are a free country and if you don't like you can go work someplace else.

I'm going to have fun with you. You don't bother to do anything but let your rampant partisan hackery run wild.

For someone who allegedly hangs out at rodeos, you seem extremely unaware of how powerful a bull is. Which is embarrassing, but a sign of partisan hackery.

If course it was a joke. Did anyone argue otherwise? And what the bulls think is irrelevant. Jesus Christ the quality of new users have dropped like a rock.

LOL, there is nothing else to do with you but laugh. Seriously.

Educate all of us. Just how do bulls think? LOL. And the other night, what did that bull think about the Obama dummy? LOL. Come on now, if the president could have been injured or killed, one of you liberals might have to convince the bull to go testify in court. It's important we all know what he was thinking. LOL.

keep digging. this is great fun.

What rules and standards are you referring too? And what venues are out of bounds when it comes to laughing at politicians?

Many businesses prohibit employees from wearing political support buttons so as not to alienate a portion of their customers. It is simple business.

You have to be careful what humor one uses in these settings. Asking the crowd if they want to see President of the USA ran over by a bull is a little over the top.

Am sorry you have a hard time understanding this. Write to the Missouri State Fair Commission if you need more help.

Seems like this is normal in rodeo's....

The big white gate flew open. The bull came out bucking. The rider flopped

from side to side and the bullfighters held back, letting the bull make his moves until the rider dropped off. Licciardello crouched in a heavily padded barrel, a human target should the bull decide to charge. Hawkins waited near the barrel, holding his big inner tube. A dummy with a George Bush mask stood beside the clown, propped up by a broomstick.

Great post. I respected GWB's authority as the general will of the people. I even voted for him the first time around over Gore. I was GOP back then, but I always voted my conscience, regardless of party affiliation....but I, like you, identified more with the Democratic party.

After Bush's first four years, I became somewhat displeased with his performance. Homeland Security was a big one for me....we had the NSA, the CIA, and the FBI.....we pretty much had our bases covered...if they wanted to start a joint task force and needed personnel....great, hire them...but don't create a new bureaucracy. But overall, I think he did a respectable, if not admirable job with 9/11...that was a tough situation with the entire nation in mourning and demanding justice.

But, I digress....Bush's second election....I voted for Kerry. By that time, we were deep into Iraq and treating Afghanistan as the red headed stepchild, that was the actual homebase for Bin Laden to carry out 9/11. Then there was Katrina. My sister lived in Louisiana at the time....up North in the Alexandria area. She's an RN and took a three week unpaid leave to help the folks down in New Orleans....the stuff she told me was horrific. She also told me first hand information about the hard hit 9th Ward that I never even thought about.

The homes in the 9th ward were mostly built by factory and industrial workers who retired in the 60's, 70's and 80's.....as they died off, they willed those properties to their kids. By the time Katrina hit....those good paying factory and industrial jobs were long gone and you had a lot of people living in their childhood homes with little income to spare for things such as.....HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE. If you go down to the 9th Ward to this very day....it's still a ghost town.

That got me thinking about my political affiliation....but what sealed the deal for me was a little later on....with a slur among GOP members. That slur was RINO. That just plain pissed me off and was the beginning of the extremism I see in the Republican Party today. That was when I filled out a new registration card and went to the Democratic Party. I still vote my conscience and not with the Party line.....but I lean more towards Dems now than I ever have.

Although I'm a registered Democrat, I tend to vote my conscience as well. I voted for Reagan (2nd term) and GWB (2nd term), Clinton (twice) and Obama (twice; my vote almost went to Romney the 2nd time, but in the end I just didn't think I could trust him). We both agree about how the Dept. of Homeland Security should have been a merging of NSA, FBI and CIA; we didn't need a new intelligence bureau.

I can understand some of the positions the GOP has taken of late, but right now overall I think the party has largely gone out of their collective minds!

Still not getting it eh? We're not talking about the threat to the rodeo clown.

The comedy show you and others are putting on is better than sat night live ever thought about being.

So you can't answer my question. At all. You don't even try.

FYI, it's a bad idea to try to insult someone when anyone can copy paste their claim into Google and get the exact same results.

Still running with the liberal line eh? After I posted my ballot? Quality of new users here leaves much to be desired.

I wonder if those labeling people in here in the terms of talk radio entertainers on the right, have a problem with this:

I don't. It's a kid (who happens to be Black) praying on behalf of his nation's President. People honor prayer requests in their local church all the time usually on behalf of members of the congregation, friends, co-workers or family members. My church even sends out prayers for our country's leaders routinely. I see this as no different.

Maybe so, but not to this.

Bush was blamed by members of congress (not just media pundits, message boards and so on) for being a war criminal, losing the war, spreading the war, high gas prices, high unemployment (I know laughable now), high debt, high deficit and everything else under the sun. Not a peep now on the same issues from the same people. And that's not even counting what Obama had to say about Bush.

What's good for the goose, is good for the gander. Even if the gander gets a whole lot less of it.

But this rodeo thing is far different from members of Congress disagreeing with the President's policies or his decisions as CinC. Two completely different things!

Believe it or not, I pray for the safety of Obama every day. But I don't pray to him...

Do you pray to lord Obama?

I knew that's what you were getting at the moment I saw this video post. You're completely wrong in your assessment.

The kid, "Steven", wasn't praying TO President Obama; he was praying FOR him. He said so right at the beginning of the video. I know the intro is alittle distorted, but if you listen you'll hear him say "this prayer is 'for' President Barack Obama"...kinda like a kid would pray to Santa Clause after Christmas.

For some people, it certainly is.

Then why did the guy get fired or banned. Don't then attempt to defend the indefensible.

I am not attempting to defend the indefensible. Nor am I succeeding despite my lack of effort. Maybe you should find a quote where I did so since you're so interested in quoting people.

Now the NAACP is attempting to call this a "hate crime."

I'm getting real sick of all these blacks crying racism -- and it's only blacks. I hardly ever see a non-black cry racism.

So you're black then?

Here.

Actually, by brining Game of Thrones into it, the brouhaha is just about the persecution complex on the right. Everything must be wonderful in this country considering all the energy you're putting into a clown. That's not even a put down - the man is an ACTUAL clown.

Do I think he should have gotten a "lifetime ban," no. Do I think they were within their rights to say they don't want political commentary on their dime? Yes. Is it worth 20 pages here? No. Am I surprised that there's a whole bunch of idiots butthurt over this? I shouldn't be.

It's all about "the persecution complex on the right". What "political commentary" was there? It was, as you say, from an ACTUAL clown!!!! There was no 'political commentary' whatsoever.

By blaming it all on a persecution complex and calling it 'political commentary', and trying to trivialize the incident, you are indeed defending the indefensible.

You.

How many frogs does a bull squash in a pasture? Who cares. Same as the 14, 000,000 number that had nothing to do with Obama, the rodeo clown in question or the bull in question.

And learn to read a little better. I answered your question. However J-mac provided a better one 14 posts above this one, I'll put it up again:"The big white gate flew open. The bull came out bucking. The rider flopped
from side to side and the bullfighters held back, letting the bull make his moves until the rider dropped off. Just as the answer I provided to you said. The only thing different about what happened the other night than any other night at a rodeo, the name Obama was used. It was just as funny against Bush as it was against Obama or anyone else they select. The only difference is the idiots that act all a**hurt because they feel compelled to defend Obama against all threats, including the ones they dream up. Just as you did.

But keep on digging. I don't remember the last time I laughed as much.

You are the one that made the absurd claim that bulls can think.

You are the one that made the absurd claims that what happened at the rodeo was threating to the President.

You are the one that doesn't get it.

You are the one that made the absurd claim that bulls can think.

Actually that was you. I never made any claim about bulls other than that they can injure and hurt people. Go find the quote where I said anything about bulls other than that.

Try. You will fail.

You are the one that made the absurd claims that what happened at the rodeo was threating to the President

Answer me this: if the rodeo clown wasn't alluding to the President, why did this make the news when all the other gags on Obama don't make the news? You won't answer that.

You are the one that doesn't get it.

That's ironic given what you failed to realize and what you will run away from answering.

Really? I see Google saying that bulls injury and kill lots of people.

I also see my ballot saying I didn't vote Obama.

Now, you want to keep looking foolish?

A dummy with a George Bush mask stood beside the clown, propped up by a broomstick.

And that is the same thing as an entertainer at a state event riling up an audience with suggestions that the President be run down by a bull? Someone throwing out a gag is the same thing as parading in front of the crowd using a clown as a surrogate for the President?

Jesus Christ the quality of new users here has hit a record low. And throwing out a bush prop was bad form as well. Guess you can't call me a liberal eh? Not that facts really get in your way considering your "posts,"

How many frogs does a bull squash in a pasture? Who cares. Same as the 14, 000,000 number that had nothing to do with Obama, the rodeo clown in question or the bull in question.

Uber Fail. Do you really think the clown wasn't alluding to the President? We should start a poll on this to show you just how horrifically wrong you are.

Seems like this is normal in rodeo's....

Using gags is. Openly calling for the audience to see their opinions on running down a symbol of the President is not.

Try again. ItAin'tFree just idiotically grasped on to that without reading it for comprehension. It's embarrassing watching your side grasp for anything to meet my very simple request.
