Car bombs kill nearly 80 in Iraq, target Eid festivities

The issue I think became about "religion in the government" the deadly formula to make countries unstable? The latest post made it "religion in the government makes countries unstable in time."

Otherwise I have no countries specific in mind.

So you have nothing.

Yes, it is the West's fault that Muslims kill each other. Who would have seriously suggested otherwise?

sorry they began to kill each other after they lost the stability :2wave:

What? The Vatican became independent since in early 19s. Islam was in charge of Arabian and Persian countries for longer than that!

What are you trying to say here? That in a few centuries or so the residents of Vatican City will start killing each other? Fair enough.

Yes, losing that stability seems to have encouraged them to torch cars. Perhaps they were more stable before cars were invented.

That would seem to be the case.

Now that's the sort of madness that can only come from people who take their religion really seriously.

cheers MMC:lol:

Well, truthfully we know the sectarian divide has spread outside of Syria. Which both sides started going after one another in Iraq on the Border Right there by Syria.

Plus then the Shia assassinated a Sunni Cleric.....since then AQ, the MB and the Sunni have been taking it to the Shia, in Iraq and with more increase in attacks.

Democracy seems to be in jeopardy in Iraq, which is a shame because the people who had their first vote ever certainly seemed very proud of the fact.

Well.....its not like they would listen to anyone and give up fighting anyways. But how much of the Mongols and their playing their part contributed to more of it?

Democracy and Islam are a poor fit.

democracy is not what teh west wants to see in ME

because you cant control anyone who has democratic tendencies

What is the Christian equivalent to Sharia Law?

no religion is democratic

guess why

or do you think christians have always been so democratic although the bible seems more peaceful ?

no religion is democratic

guess why

It seems a great many Christian nations have flourishing democracies.

Precisely because they maintain secular institutions, rather than an all-encompassing religious doctrine that prescribes all legal and social behavior.

I do hope you see the difference.

like christianity or any other religion and democracy ?

None of them are a great fit but Islam has no church and state, only God and that you can't vote on.

interesting

being a conservative isnt an excuse to start such threads l think

there are lots of smart cons around

they must know not everything would turn to a nightmare in many ME countries if the west didnt support or encourage any fake spring
