Who would you declare war on? China and Russia or the Middle Eastern countries? China and Russia are pure suicide and in case you didn't pay much attention to the debacle Iraq was, we can't afford seizing one oil rich nation much less the entire region. And as Iraq further rubbed our noses in it, taking the ground is rather easy, holding it and making any use of it is a whole 'nother cat.

50 years of bribing our way to dominate the oilfields of the Middle East would be chump change to trying to conquer it by military force.

The quickest way to third world status will be to try and take by military force the entire Middle East.

Do you really hate your country and those who would die to 'get it on' THAT much????
If we are going to war with Iraq for the evils of Saddam, then one evil doer is as good as any.

    Yeah.

Because the Middle East was a model of stability before that evil George Bush came along.

I said if thats the case, I didnt say I agree with it.
But what do we do? Keep pouring trillions into other nations? To what end? IT will be our ruin no matter what.

The Bakken field is being drilled faster than the oil can be shipped out, North dakota is undergoing a boom- which isn't that big a deal it is North Dakota afterall, two Aldi stores going in would tic the economic scale upward- who is pretending what????

Oh yes, sending a toxic sludge through the pipeline across the heartland of OUR nation when Canada has the refinery cap to deal with that tar all on it's own. Optimistic estimates claim around 4% of the current Gulf refinery cap will be met by the tar sludge- if all goes well.

Yeah THAT will replace Middle East oil...

You need to get some factual material...

How long? How long was Germany down and out? Not long. People were rebuilding on their own before Hitler was dead.

We should have told the college students to go **** themselves, seized control of their oil, and created wealth in the region.

We could have paid our own bills and still give the country a financial boost with oil money.

I was 125% against a war in Iraq! But like you said, when the world is full of E-Vile doers what does one tinpot dictator matter one way or another.

(hint- when he is anywhere near Big Oil's interest and won't play ball)

There was nothing like this happening before March 19, 2003.
