It was precisely that "whining" that resulted in this delicious provision. They didn't have this in the initial draft!

It would cost them some political capital, as you say. Too many of them are safely in gerrymandered districts to worry very much about re election, however. I think they'll go for it.

It'll be just like the FAA sequester. The second Congresspeople start getting personally affected, an amendment will fly through faster than you can say "Congress is a large body of inept, corrupt, selfish douchebags who couldn't govern their way out of a Wendy's bathroom."

If Republicans can't be arsed to fix problems they themselves perceive with Obamacare, they're just proving that winning is more important to them than governing. Proving that they're willing to accept negative affects to the country as long as it makes Democrats look bad.

....of course, they've been proving this since 2009, so...

As this case shows, Democrats don't need any help to look bad...they manage that just fine on their own.

And, the Republicans have already tried...over and over...to fix the Obamacare problems. The Senate Democrats won't let that happen, though.

I know you'll try to use any situation to make the Republicans look bad, Deuce, but face it...this one is all on the Democrats.

Not sure how you get "even the Republicans want O...etc" out of that article. It made one minor reference to "bipartisan", but the bulk of it was about Obama and the Democrats.

No...I think the Republicans would prefer dumping all of Obamacare rather than expect Obama to do anything to fix it.

I find it amusing that the Senate Democrats expect Obama to fix their ****-up, though.

This is nothing like the FAA sequester. This affects Congress and Congress alone.

    Okay...

    Y'all can rest easy.

    Obama fixed everything.

Obama Solves Health Care Problem for Lawmakers, Staff (Updated) | The World's Greatest Deliberative Body

All it took was the Obama administration making a decision...enacting a new rule.

It doesn't matter WHAT the law says, Obama decides how it's going to be.

This is how our government operates nowadays.

    Why do we vote, again???
