Re: Texas Senate passes sweeping new abortion restrictions

Abortions are between women/couples and their doctor.
Abortions do not affect other born people.
A pre born fetus is unknown by others and is not recognized as person under US constitutional law.
When it comes to matters of reproduce health, Politicians and the religious dogma of another faith should never interfere with religious liberty of an individual or her faith.

Although murder might not be the best example, since the death penalty promotes it.
I'm afraid there is no "ethics" in promoting illegal abortions which is the result of making abortion illegal. It is nothing but a sham to disguise it's religious roots. There is no shortage of people on this board that believe that "biblical' punishment of women is just.

I may be mistaken but I think he was to referring to the fact that your 12 week abortion limit plus the fact you would allow abortions for severely malformed fetuses is more lienient than most pro life people on this forum.

Well, normally I'm not a supporter of abortion but since you have actually been allowed to speak on your own behalf I chose to make an exception, your Mom's OK was just a formality.

They want restrictions because they know it's impossible to make it totally illegal, and they are going about the legal process to achieve those goals like any other lobby. What is your problem with that? also, if you don't think 20 weeks is the time to make it illegal to abort a child, at what point do you think it should become illegal? I want to know
Abortions that are performed for medical reasons should be a matter between a woman and her doctor. The cut off for elective abortion was set by the Supreme Court.
The problem is that subjecting women to unsafe illegal abortions is sick and could only have been devised by sick twisted minds. If they truly cared about life they would be doing things that reduce abortions not drive women to find unsafe alternatives. Apparently punishment is more important than life to them.
