FOX News Reporting Boeing 777 Crashes In San Francisco

Asiana says pilot of crashed plane was in training

Pilot had barely ever flown this type of plane before.

He was flying too low and too slow.

Co-pilot never corrected for this error until seconds before impact.

I am NEVER flying on this airline. This airline should be BANNED from American airspace!!!!!

So all airlines where possible pilot error is the cause of a crash.. should be banned?

Apparently the pilot at the control may only have had 43 hours in that aircraft type, and had never landed one. It hard to believe they'd use a real flight as training for landing. I don't know, seeing all kind of numbers flying around, even about the missing.

I heard this morning that one of the two deceased was struck by an emergency vehicle responding to the crash.

Oh WOW.

Imagine living through a plane crash and getting hit by the ambulance as you crawl out of the wreckage.

Yep, that's the height of "having a bad day".

Have they found the unaccounted passengers yet?

This, plus the new information about the pilot and the fact that the co-pilot didn't make sure the pilot was landing correctly, puts serious questions about the airline.

Great. So that one time is when the ILS was turned off, and these guys probably weren't trained on landing without it. Recipe for disaster. It's a miracle only two died, as horrible as it is for their families to deal with.

They have. They simply went home. I don't think that the First Officer can question the Captain. It's just not done. :( It's a cultural thing. Asian carriers, unfortunately, have a reputation for being the most dangerous.

Too low and too slow.

777 was dangerously close to stalling.

Sounds like pilot error.

Thar Jet has plenty of raw power to maintain critical airspeed.

Captain had only a few hours behind the left seat.

Simulators do not really teach you how to land. There's no other way to do it.

I heard there was a third fatality that passed away yesterday.

Question 4 all, WHY did all of the fire, happen in the middle of the cabin, and not burning the wings,
the wings hold the fuel tanks, or am I mistaken? any info?
