Listen, like it or not, repairing the damage that Bush did, both Jr and Sr and the damage of Reagan and even Clinton.. is not something that can happen overnight or maybe never. Point is, people on the right are blaming everything on Obama, when there is plenty of blame to go around and he certainly did not create the problems in the middle east, nor the policies that lead to the problems.

Look at Iran. They hate the US (the politician),.. why? Because of the policies of US administration from Eisenhower to Reagan... supporting a brutal dictator... is that also Obama's fault?

This lie is pretatuated by the left about the cause of the Iranian revolution but it is still a lie. The reason the Shah was overthrown was not for brutality, indeed, those who sought to overthrow him were more brutal than the Shah ever was. What fueled the revolution in Iran was the Shah pushing for a change in Iran to allow non-Muslims to serve in the government. Islamic hardliners saw this as the attempts by America at Westernizing Iran.

So what fueled the overthrow of the Shah was a push for moderation and religious tolerance.

Of course it does...I'd love to see the, oh so 'progressive' liberals get themselves into a frothing tizzy should anything near that type display happen here in the form of say, burning the AQ flag, or any of the ME caldron's of American hatred from that region...They would be apoplectic, because in many cases they share that dislike of America themselves.
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

More of that silliness I mentioned earlier. Not sharing your view is not equal to disliking America.

Not arrogance to merely note the truth.

Don't flatter yourself, you wouldn't know the truth if it was protruding from your own arse.

Heya Pete. What brutal dictatorship were we supporting with Eisenhower again?
