Not true, blame laziness. Of course I don't expect you to think a poor person should actually work to improve their lives. It is a lot easier to blame things that happen hundreds of years ago to people long dead. After all, everyone should have the exact same opportunities with exactly the same starting point and with exactly the same circumstances.

It is sometimes difficult to communicate with someone who is against personal responsibility.

While I do agree that blacks need to take more responsibility for themselves, it's still a fact that inner-city schools aren't as good as other public schools. It's probably going a bit far to call it "racism," but that does impact the black community disproportionately.

Blame whatever you like, but the fact is that the education systems have failed city residents.

I know, Conservatives can be so hard to talk to when they're convinced that they're being persecuted.

According to some article I read,he claimed he was called the N-word at the Foster Avenue beach once. Of course, like any politician's story,it was probably a lie.

    Well there is this.
Lewis reminisced about her teaching days, when she would lie to parents when it came time to discuss their child’s performance. She then said – because of her lies – the student became her “hostage” who would do what she wanted.
“Do you have an insane principal?” she said, to laughs and clapping. “Anybody have an insane principal? Take ‘em out. What that means is remove them, by the way, Fox News … How do you do that? You organize to make their lives so miserable.”
So yeah, I would say they are putting their own interests before those of their students. Pathetic really.

You're right, but both suck. One is just failing with a D and the other is failing with an F.

I asked, "What blame does the Chicago's Teachers Union share in the problem with Chicago public schools? Be specific and show causation."

I did not say, "Show me an article from a conservative website that takes the President of CTU's words out of context, but doesn't demonstrate how the union contributes to the problems with Chicago public schools."

Here are examples of what I meant when I asked, "What blame does the Chicago's Teachers Union share in the problem with Chicago public schools? Be specific and show causation.":

A non-partisan study showing that the teacher's union has hurt the Chicago public schools.
A policy that the teacher's union pushed for that is demonstrable bad for schools.

Can you provide that or something similar or not?
