Actually it was Congress that spent the money. Congress controls the spending, it says so in the Constitution. You need to be equally if not more pissed off at them.

Instead his IRS is targeting Christians, Jews and conservatives for harassment and intimidation. His DOJ is targeting journalists. His NSA is spying on americans and collecting all our communications. He's arming and training terrorists in Syria. His economic policies are a total failure. More than a million blacks have slipped into poverty since he took office.

People like you really don't have a moral or intellectual leg to stand on anymore. You've sold your soul to Obama and your core values have become fundamentally bankrupt. An Obama 100M vanity trip to Africa right now is about as piss poor optics as you can get to the people struggling and trying to find work in this miserable economy right now. Go ahead and blame Bush and call everyone who criticizes Obama a racist. We'll just point and laugh at you.

Their behavior is nothing new however. If you look back at all the vile and corrupt administrations throughout history they always had a sycophantic base that excused and rationalized the corruption. They were also always Collectivists/Leftist ideologies. Liberals/Progressives on these boards are actually defending and excusing the IRS and NSA being used as political tools to target and harass Americans for their political beliefs. It's unprecedented in American History and the political fallout once the smoke clears is not going to be kind on these phonies. You can't call the criticism of what out Government is doing racist. Anyone who attempts to do this needs to be laughed out of the discussion. They've given up their right to be taken seriously.

One of the real tragedies in history was the number of Jews in Germany who stayed because they felt any political party calling itself 'socialist' could only be working for the benefit of the people. Others, with no such naive presumptions, fled.

This severe lesson, the flirting with and acceptance of socialism, has been repeated many times throughout modern history and always with negative consequences. It seems many will just believe, and that's all there is to it.

I was just being as pathetic as you were. The country has been on this road for at least 40 years or longer. You seem to think all our problems started as soon as Obama took office. You're what I refer to as a single vision person, to you everything and everyone that don't see things the way you do is bad. The truth is both the Republicans and Democrats are basically the same. They both put their own pocket books ahead of the country. Look at the last 12 years or so. They have both had complete control of Congress,Senate and the WH, they could have stopped this train wreck but all they did was kick the can down the hill. I look at cheer leaders from both sides and just shake my head. The politicians are partly to blame but the people that keep electing them based only on which letter they have are more to blame for the mess we're in. During the Bush years when the Reps. were in control they yelled and screamed for a fence on the border, they spent millions and the last time I checked we had about a mile of it built, but I haven't heard any of them mention it in years, where did all that money go? The Dems. yelled and screamed about health care control and look at what that's gonna cost. When people take their blinders off and start looking at the politicians for what they do and not just at the alphabet letter then we might be able to start fixing these problems.

Do you really not know that Congress controls the spending? Look it up, it's in the Constitution. Congress controls the spending and levy's taxes, so when your taxes go up it's Congress that raised them. The only thing a President (no matter which letter) can do is submit a request to Congress for whatever amount he wants. It's then up to Congress to either approve it, not approve it, or modify it.

Yes, i know what it says in the Constitution but you are suggesting that Congress is somehow responsibility for Obama's self serving and extremely expensive trip to Africa. Its best to face the facts and put the responsibility where it belongs.

Nope. It was more a fact-finding trip than a string of 18th Century version of photo-ops. Do you think that last Obama bus tour he did did not involve a massive amount of logistical support with them leap-frogging agents and equipment all along the way so that he was never not inside a rolling secure perimeter?

People aren't asking Obama to "run around without security", we're asking him not to run around.

Previous presidents have made such concessions during tough financial times to show that they are willing to feel the pinch as well. Not every president has, I am sure, but there is only so long that you can equate Obama's behavior with previous sub par presidents before you rationally accept that Obama is a sub par president.
