Africa is a future economic powerhouse if you don't forge relations with hem China will. Do you want the U.S. to have influence in the African economy or do you want socialist Chinese influences.

LOL. Africa will not be an "economic powerhouse" anytime on our lifetimes. Too much strife and disease. Our influence in their economy will be the critical one--access to medicine

A lot of countries in Africa are experiencing rather large GDP growth and quality of life has risen significantly.

When you have nothing, getting a horse doubles your economy.

    Just curious, what's that?
Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

Chinese are investing in Africa via capitalism, not socialism. It has been the Democracies which have supported despotism, and socialism, through their aid programs with few controls in place, which only served to exasperate the problems and lead to further dependency. They are creating the same dependency in the democracies as well.

All that aside, Barrack Obama has little influence anywhere.
