A resettlement plan under discussion in Washington and other capitals is aimed at relieving pressure on Middle Eastern countries straining to support 1.6 million refugees, as well as assisting hard-hit Syrian families.

The State Department is "ready to consider the idea," an official from the department said, if the administration receives a formal request from the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees, which is the usual procedure.

They're trying to generate in the media the impression that Syria is a Nation run by a tyrant and that is why it has refugees. Notice no one says USA financed terrorists in Syria have caused 93,000 deaths in the last three years. Rebels are more likely to have used Sarin gas than gov't troops. It's a media play to generate support to get USA Corporations in charge of Syria's energy resources and move Russia out of their only Mediterranean port.

And the French gave Saddam weapons and the British and the Germans and the Russians....

I don't think Cheney was in any position in the 1980's to provide Saddam with weapons....In any case it was other countries that mainly supplied Saddam,not the US.

You know, the US government needs to stop wasting money trying to help other countries that would resolve nothing or take years to resolve. And fix the issues within the US first. I think it's a heck of a lot better use of time and money on our part.

Oh, no, that's long forgotten, erased from the history books along with Reagan and his minions arming Iran, and the US supporting the Mujahadeen against the Soviets when they were fighting in Afganistan.

Some things just have to yield to the mutability of the past.

4. Look at the bottom of the graphic. It's clearly cited for source data and chart generator.

It is the same info,the wiki link and the link on the chart are both from info provided by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).....Not that hard to figure out lol

The direct link no longer works,but you are more than welcome to do your own research and provide proof the US is the one that supplied Saddam with Soviet weapons :)
