The fact that Muslim radicals are complete douchebags does not excuse past behavior of our State.

Because it's a standard ploy that has been around for generations now and it getting well past wearisome.

Whenever any American would criticize Communism the Communists would respond, "Oh Yeah? What about slavery?" or "Oh, Yeah? What about equal pay for women?"

Just leave it at '"Muslim radicals are complete douchebags", and let it go at that.

CFR John Kerry wants bombings in Syria

Pentagon Shoots Down Kerry’s Syria Airstrike Plan

"Flash-forward to this past Wednesday. At a principals meeting in the White House situation room, Secretary of State John Kerry began arguing, vociferously, for immediate U.S. airstrikes against airfields under the control of Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian regime -- specifically, those fields it has used to launch chemical weapons raids against rebel forces. LIBERAL TALKERS APPARENTLY ONLY THINK ITS A WAR CRIME IF BUSH OR THE GOP DOES THEM ...

    – the usual liberals Amy Goodman, Thom Hartman are all protecting the Obama on war crimes via Libya, Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, etc.,The "progressive" Liberal wuss-fest continued on Thom Hartman in May 2013,, who was content to have a guest on who reiterated news lies about Obamas war policy in Syria. She said the govmnt was considering military assisatnce to the rebels. Well, if you believetheNYT,WaHoPo,GlobalResearch,BlacklistedNew s.com,
LandDestroyer blog, James Petras, the Asia Times or any number of accredited historians, professors and authors, Obama/CIA military aide to the Al Queda terrorists/FSA has already been happening for two years, aside from the sanctions on Syria, logisitics and training by US special forces inside the country, drone survelliance, and the Israeli bombings which some analysts insist would not have been done without US approval. So why is the highly repected and gifted author and media host, Thom Hartman still lying about Syria on his show?

Therefore truth is subverted on behalf on the Dem Party never thought we’d see the day Amy censorsing or NATO pro-war narrative for the 2012 election year, Syria war crimes no one appears to care about even antiwar icons Micharl Moore and Mike Malloy skipped over it. Amy Goodman and her CFR/Ford Foundation buddies is still slinging Syria pro-war propaganda horsecrud, and liberal talk radio ignores Libya, the Obama NeoCon scorched earth policy. I think Mike Malloy covered it for 20 minutes in the last six months. No one has stated how assassinating Quaddafi as a foreign head of state was illegal under Geneva.Pay no attention to the (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) behing the curtain, "we came, we saw, he died" Hillary.

Oh I forgot Ed Yutz did cover Libya with a CFR/Nation magazine scumbag (also Ford Foundation, big oil funded) and "captain obvious"stated "how can we spin this and the(fake)"BinLaden killing into a victory for Prez. Obama?"

Rachel Maddow is running a State Dept. warmonger mouthpiece show, so her and Randi Rhodes love every war under Obama they constantly fought against under Bush.

Dem Party hired guns not antiwar activists as you all thought previous, campaign for the rights of NeoCons to fly in and kill you if you're a sovereign state, because Neocons Hillary and Obama and their CFR masters need puppets ...Hello ???

Libya, (11,000 bombing sorties flown and allies admit 100,000 dead) Yemen, Af-Pak, Syria, Somalia, the body count just keeps piling up!

Syria NATO intervention post Nov. will be as a big a disaster as Iraq, probably worse. Its coming.

When the foreign policy has been decided by the CFR, a report is written, then distributed to CFR journalists, who read and articulate it for the State Dept., for whom they work, whether on foundation funded, NPR or PBS public broadcasting, or CFR members Fox, ABC, NBC.

The CFR "journalists" merely are there to articulate the policy for Jim Lehrer, Charlie Rose, (both themselves CFR members) and the public, not question or debate the policy itself. Often, on CSPAN, Fox News, or elsewhere, CFR hosts and journalists ignore public perception altogether, and the forums are merely Elites talking to one another.

And the reason for that is they've been trained to group think, attend meetings, and obey the will of the U.S. State Dept., which in turn consists of CFR members, including former Sec. of Defense, Pentagon people, multinationals Haliburton, Carlyle, Exxon, etc.

"Although many politicians hold membership, It must be noted that the Council on Foreign Relations is a non-governmental organization. The CFR's membership is a union of politicians, bankers, and scholars, with several large businesses holding additional corporate memberships.Corporate members include:Halliburton of Dubai, British Petroleum,Dutch Royal Shell ,Exxon Mobile, General Electric (NBC),Chevron, Lockheed Martin, Merck Pharmaceutical ..."

I have no idea what you are ranting about.

Because the world isn't black and white though conservatives and nationalists like to think so. Just because there are evil people does not mean that those who oppose them are always good.

And liberals live in a world of grey, I suppose, expanding on your trite analogy.

The point is that Liberals cannot say 9/11 or whatever is wrong, they have to add that Americans have done some bad things too. Their greyness, and consequent confusion and indecisiveness is everywhere.

I never said Americans, I said our govt. You know, the govt conservatives love to criticize when it comes to taxes being too high, but when it comes to bombing Afghan neighborhoods they could do no wrong?

US is certainly partly to blame for what eventually transpired, but US doesn't deserve all blame.
Somehow, Americans will be at fault no matter where it is or what the history might be. There will always be a way to point out something America did wrong, without understanding or explaining the context at the time it happened.,

I never said Americans, I said our govt. You know, the govt conservatives love to criticize when it comes to taxes being too high, but when it comes to bombing Afghan neighborhoods they could do no wrong?
The American people elect their government and the government represents the people. No country in the world gets as much criticism as the United States and no country, with the possible exception of Great Britain, has done more to advance human rights and prosperity.

If a child pokes a hornets nest and gets stung would you not blame the child for what happened? No US citizen deserved what happened on 9/11 and the ones who did it should be reviled. But there is no doubt that the actions of our government has put the people at risk for decades.

Do you blame Americans when you complain about taxes?

Well if you want to be the world policeman then expect to get blame when things go wrong. Its that way with any institution/individual with power. I want our govt to STOP being the policeman of the world.

There is absolute doubt because the Europeans were involved there first, even establishing the borders. If you want to blame someone other than the terrorists blame them. We could g back a lot further in history as to who might be to blame but history tends to stall when it hits on something the Americans might have done wrong, And often its a generic wrong, without being too specific.
