Mexican-American boy's national anthem sparks racist comments

it wasn't Palin who received the insult it was her 5 year old son. If it was just Palin it would not have bothered me that is expected from trash from the left but when it is done to a special needs child it is reprehensible

I said perceived not received. You're a Palin, aren't you?

It's not hateful. We're being overrun by foreign criminals. It's a pretty minor infraction to assume he's one of the MILLIONS while such insanity is being forced on us.

I wonder if white dudes are all serial killers, since the vast majority of serial killers are white dudes.

Nothing wrong with that, right?

No Im not and i don't always agree with her. It is just the unadulterated hate from the left that i don't understand. is she that much of a threat that liberals have to make vile comments about her children to try to marginalize her.
As much as the right hates Obama i have yet to see anyone make disgusting comments about his children

Vile comments about her children?

Bill Maher said he was "retarded"!! Are you really that PC that it hurt your tender sensibilities?

Whining because Maher, who used to host a show called Politically Incorrect, used a politically incorrect term?

Suddenly, right wingers have gone PC on us

nope just pointing out the usual liberal hypocrisy

would you feel the same if a right leaning comedian called Obamas children nappy headed pickaninny tar babies? your head would explode if they did

Just admit that Maher butt-hurt your PC sensibilities, and be done with it.

still wont answer my question will you

To which crime is this young child guilty? Pride in his heritage? Singing while looking Mexican?

Honestly. He's a child. A US citizen no less. And you lump him into the same category as criminals.

I'd love to compare your rap sheet to his.

Nice voice. I just hope he believes what he's singing.

Sarah Palin Hopes Bill Maher's 'White Wimpy A#*' Gets Flattened After Trig Palin Slur (TWEETS)is that better? and provided a source you cant refute because we all know you liberal hacks believe everything that rag writes

Yes, that's much better. That's a more reliable source and makes it clear that we are dealing with hearsay:
The Las Vegas Review-Journal relayed background Wednesday on the apparent incident from last Saturday,
You know what 'apparent' means, don't you?

Apparent: seeming real or true, but not necessarily so
his apparent lack of concern

He is an American. He does not look like you. I am sure he is glad. Get over it.

But he was dressed like a Mexican wasn't he ?

You don't sing the National Anthem dressed like a Mexican bandito.

I believe this has more to do with Congress and rewarding law breakers with amnesty. The American people have been left out in the debate and the majority of Americans want our borders secured before we even start talking about what to do with 20 million people who don't respect our laws.

If this kid were have sang the National Anthem a year ago, there probably wouldn't have been one tweet.

Nothing racist about wondering if a Mexican-looking kid was chosen to sing our national anthem while millions of illegal immigrants are in the process of being rewarded for breaking into our country, marching down our streets with their flags, demanding that we speak their language, educate their children and cut them welfare checks...all while smearing anyone who objects as a bigot.

Seriously, lay down this mindless, hysterical race-card. You have UTTERLY overplayed and discredited it at this point and it carries ZERO weight.

Hm...feelings of prejudice, discrimination, and hostility toward a group that arise as a result of perceived competition over limited resources and competing goals.

You are a walking example of Realistic conflict theory.

I don't like it when people play the race card, but I find it considerably less flattering when people play the nationality card. Just being an American does not entitle you to feel superior to any group of people or to disregard all their individual differences and circumstances for the ease of regarding them as all the same. That kind of categorization is on par with the popular stereotypes that the American people are just a bunch of materialistic, obese, violent, reckless, and incredibly arrogant folk.

Claiming the boy's selection to sign the national anthem is based on an illegal immigration agenda because he's "Mexican looking" is as flimsy as saying criticisms of the president is based in racism because he's black.

Really, it's pretty silly, especially after hearing the performance the kid gave, demonstrating his immense talent which is much more likely the reason he got the job. Focusing on race at every opportunity doesn't serve anyone.

I don't see how this applies.

Mexican-American boy's national anthem sparks racist comments - CNN.com <-- clicky
IMO this "story" is emblematic of what our "news media" has become. Blogger locates 20 something users of twitter expressing idiocy. Within ten hours the "story" that 20 something morons were doing what morons do, is one of the TOP stories on the 24/7 news grind. The mayor of the city feels compelled to comment on it, and it becomes the fodder of Facebook and forums like this. The blogger and media whores laugh all the way to the bank.

The only upside is that this fine young man gets some national exposure and love that was already evident before the blogger found his golden hook.

It's embarrassing to be an American sometimes.....
