Mexican-American boy's national anthem sparks racist comments

So you got nuthin, right? Suspecting someone of something because of the color of his skin is racism.
Racist? You mean 4 or 5 random nobodies posting comments suspecting that this kid was chosen for the same PC illegal immigrant-apologist agenda that's shoved down our throats 24/7? Again, not racism at all. Just people understandably sensitive to being invaded by criminals and crucified for objecting jumping to a conclusion. And this BS smearing has already been addressed. If you've really gotten to the point where you're just going to start repeating yourself and calling that a counterpoint, you don't belong on a "debate site."

You eximplify racism while denying it? Weird.
Are German criminals invading U.S. by the millions? No. Way to think that through.

There is nothing wrong with a child born and raised in San Antonio singing the National Anthem of his country. If the kid is a legal citizen of the US I don't know why everyone is freaking out over the whole situation.

Agreed. The problem is with CNN trying to turn a few posts from random nobodies into another reason for minorities to feel like cheated victims who are owed something by everyone else.

Not suspecting HIM of anything. For the billionth time, this is about suspecting a PC agenda to defend criminals as they invade this country. Try to comprehend it. I'm sick of re-explaining it.

I'll ask again... How many of these tweets were there? Because if we're only talking about a few isolated nitwits(which at this point seems to be the case) then I would agree that this story is little more than the latest in a long line of attempts to manufacture outrage.

This doesn't even begin to address the numerous problems with Election 2012. I won't re-write it all out. The best list of them is here.

But it did blow your claim right out of the water.

The 'facts' in the link are as biased as the first one you drug in here... example the voters found to not be legible to vote, NO mention of how many records had to be combed through to find that number one in a million or one in a thousand? makes a difference. Interesting it is mostly Florida reports where the GOP has held state level power for a decade at least. Remember our hanging chad mess? Gore won the popular vote but only AFTER the courts stopped to count?

Absolutely no attempt to be fair and balanced, not one mention of the Republican officials attempting voter fraud.

A former republican official claims he was told he already voted, no followup to do more than put a rumor out there. Just a case of him claiming something.

The more rural red states went for Willard is no surprise so trying to couple it with the voter ID laws is as bogus as a hooker's smile.

The most all your 'facts' do is convince the already convinced some voter fraud occurred but the 'reports' hold back key information to give any sense of could any of it tilted the election.

And lack any sort of balance....

I just love the plethora of instances where you use "invaded" and "criminals".

I love how you turn racist comments about a child singing the NA into a gigantic political conspiracy theory.

You're doing exactly what you suggest CNN was doing (forget that I posted a Fox affiliate reporting the same news). You're saying CNN was making a mountain out of a mole hill - yet you've gone the same circle into suggesting it's a plot by CNN to ram an agenda down the throats of all Americans.

But I'm guessing you can't see that can you?

would like to inform all those on the left assuming these comments where made by racist redneck republicans, I hate to inform you that 3 out of those 4 comments posted by CNN was made by African Americans. the 4th i could not find any information on.
I guess that blows the racist right wing bigot narrative out of the water

And how did you find this information? By Goggling the name? You better post some proof or you are just a racist ****bag as well.

went to their tweeter accounts and looked at their profile pictures those comments posted by CNN where tweets

He was born in San Antonio. Just as American, probably more, than the asshats making the comments.

The boy's ancestors might well have been in Texas for generations before the first American showed up.

It's not about the boy. It's about this invasion of criminals breaking into our country, bankrupting our system and being protected by Democrats as Rome burns.

Do you have any proof that this boy is a criminal who broke into our country?

Nothing racist about wondering if a Mexican-looking kid was chosen to sing our national anthem while millions of illegal immigrants are in the process of being rewarded for breaking into our country, marching down our streets with their flags, demanding that we speak their language, educate their children and cut them welfare checks...all while smearing anyone who objects as a bigot.

Seriously, lay down this mindless, hysterical race-card. You have UTTERLY overplayed and discredited it at this point and it carries ZERO weight.

No, the comments were not about flags, language or welfare checks. They were about ethnicity. They were innapropriate. I'm not a big fan of political correctness, but I am a fan of allowing people to be proud of their heritage. For Pete's sake, the kid is an American. Let him sing the anthem in peace.

We should never militantly obsess over race to such a level of absolute hysteria that any and every issue can be race-baited into a controversy, which is what is happening here. Americans are right to wonder if this is another attempt to shove Mexico down our throats. It happens non-stop.

LOL....you cannot even see the irony in your statement. You guys are the ones that are militantly obsessing over race when you hysterically question any person of color. How could they POSSIBLY be American....they aren't even white!!!! Too funny.

I hear you about that, but the boy isn't an illegal immigrant. I just thought adults were intelligent enough to realize that we have plenty of legal Hispanic citizens, a lot of them born and raised in this country.

What these hambones can't fathom is how could they possibly be US Citizens if they aren't white. That's the bottom line.

Well, that's your opinion. You have a right to it.Just like everyone else here.
But I don't think you have some superpower that allows you to read other peoples thoughts.
I didn't see the words "moderator" or "administrator" or "site owner" under your name,so you really don't have the right to tell anyone here they don't belong on a "debate site".You don't get to determine who belongs here. You may not agree with what Mak2 wrote. You may even like what he wrote, but he had every right to say it. From what I can tell,he broke no rules here .
Now,I'm not going to accuse you of being a racist,( now me personally, based on what you've written so far.....)but I will say you were being a total jerk when you added that last line.
Here is my opinion...You should "man up" and admit you were wrong for that last statement, apologize to this thread for overstepping your boundaries, and then we can all move on.

Another thread that encourages the America haters to insult the country that supports them and insult the American people. If you don't feel loved here, go back to your own country and don't let the door hit you on the way out. Nobody invited you.

Appearently the people insulting the American singing the Anthem are American too.

What else would you call 12-20 million people illegally breaking into your country. Sorry for using accurate language.

I love how you turn racist comments about a child singing the NA into a gigantic political conspiracy theory.

I love how you turn legitimate concerns about being invaded by criminals into race hysteria. And what conspiracy theory? That Democrats want amnesty for illegal immigrants (FACT) or that the overwhelming majority of these millions of poor foreigners would vote for the party that pushes nanny state handouts, dependence, and tearing everything America stands for down? Both are easy to demonstrate.

You're saying CNN was making a mountain out of a mole hill - yet you've gone the same circle into suggesting it's a plot by CNN to ram an agenda down the throats of all Americans.

Yes, four or five random nobodies thinking this kid was part of the left's overall crusade to illegally import millions of new Democrat voters is an incredibly minor issue. Whether or not the left is actually doing this requires no debate. It's a matter of record. No need to make a mountain out of anything here.

Do you have any proof that this boy is a criminal who broke into our country?

The argument isn't that he's a criminal. I don't even care about that part. It's about people understandably jumping to conclusions when their country is being invaded by criminals by the millions, and all anyone can do about it is crucify anyone who objects and paint the criminals as innocent victims. I don't consider this story to be an Earth-shattering event. But I'm also not hyper-ventilating to find racism lurking in every corner of the world like liberals are, either.

No one's trying to stop him from singing in peace. People are just naturally going to question whether or not he's another illegal immigrant like the ones being paraded around in Congress to testify with immunity. Total insanity.

Yes, I am totally within my right to express the opinion that someone who refuses to debate doesn't belong on a debate site. That shouldn't even be controversial.
