    Unfotunately hormonal birth control pills usually have estrogen in them which is known to cause side effects such as blood clots and strokes.

    Plan B only has progesterone which is safe when used as directed.

    Well, now insured people may be shelling out more money.

    Like Prilosec, since it's over-the-counter... insurance will no longer cover it.

    Shhhh, don't spoil the surprise. And since the government took away the allowance to use HSA for over the counter medications, someone is probably going to be making more money.

    Actually there are plenty of reasons to restrict the drug. Do you think 11 year olds and 12 year olds should be making decisions about sex? No.

    Sorry, you came in here with a thinly veiled attempt at objectivity, asking for opinions and at the same time advocating plan B for girls of all ages.

    He's " giving up the fight" for one reason, because its politically expedient. Some lackey informed him he has more to gain if he just " evolves" on the subject.

    He's wrong and so are you. The Morning after pill removes the stigma that SHOULD EXIST for people who are shallow morally but at least the thought of maybe getting pregnant kept them from being complete dumb asses.

    Remove the consequences in our ever morally devolving society. Hell, everyone needs a STD before the age of 17, it's a right of passage now.

    That is a much different scenario than making a hormone tablet OTC, and giving young girls the ability to buy it whenever they want. Teenage girls are already stupid enough, and this is putting the responsibility of a serious decision, based on serious actions, into their already emotion-filled minds.
