Now that the big cheese from the rightwing scene appears to be siding with the Obama Administration on this, will the RW sheeple change their tune to the new talking points of the day? Or will their hatred for that black, muslim, socialist, <fill in your favorite Obama slur here,> rule the day?

Enquiring minds want to know. LOL!

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Tuesday called NSA leaker Edward Snowden a “traitor” and said his actions are a “giant violation of the law.”
“He’s a traitor,” Boehner said on “Good Morning America.” “The president outlined last week that these are important national security programs to help keep Americans safe and give us tools to help fight the terrorist threat we face. The disclosure of this information puts Americans at risk.”

Boehner said Congress was fully briefed on the programs and that lawyers were always present to “protect the privacy of Americans.”

Obama is imploring the citizens of this country to have a debate about this.

And then, those who disagree with him during the debate will be sent to Gitmo. LOL.

Sounds like he is having a bit of a debate with himself...

What did Speaker Boehner call the congresspeople who decided that it's OK to let the government violate the Fourth Amendment?

As to whether or not Snowden is a 'traitor'...Id say it depends on his job and the conditions of his clearances. If he has a Secret or TS clearance and is willfully and knowingly releasing classified material, then yes...you would have to put him in the same category as Brad Manning.

However...I highly doubt this OP is going to get the desired results. Most conservative anti-Obama types are far more invested in furthering the 'scandal' than they are supporting Boehner...a guy many if not most see as a weak sister conservative at best.

He has too side with the Obama administration and call this guy a traitor... simply because he and his party put the program in place in the first place!

He cant do a Rand Paul and be a hypocrite.

The fact that his actions were noble, doesn't change the fact that it was against the law, and put hundreds of legitimate security operations at risk.

Surely. Nothing is more noble than filling your briefcase with classifed secrets regarding America's national security and running off to Hong Kong with them.

I will be sure to ask him next time I see him.

I agree. Obama could solve world hunger and cure cancer and they would still find a way to demonize him for it.

If President Obama made it rain cookies, some people would complain about a milk shortage.

The way I see this is that his maximum ignoramus, Bonehead, is allied with Caspy Milquetoast's clone Brockhead non partisanly to work against that well known nemesis, the citizens of the USA, to trample rights and gut the Constitution and their cheerleader the infamous first Buffoon, GWDimBulb initiated the conflagration. Definitely non partisan joined at the hip to screw you.

Siding with the Obama administration? No, Boehner is just being candid and calling it for what it is. It's a crime!! This is not about politics, though obviously many people can't see that, it's about a contractor violating his oath and committing a crime. Snowden should be pursued vigorously and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Funny how conservatives have turned liberal on this. They're so caught up in hating Obama they've become left wingers on this. For years Republicans, and conservatives, complained about leaks in the Pentagon during the Iraq war and when Bush's warrantless wiretapping was done, now we have an NSA program with legal justification and full oversight and "some" conservatives are complaining? Well, it's nice to see Boehner refuse to be pulled into such nonsense and show leadership....for once.

"Safeguarding the rights of others is the most noble and beautiful end of a human being."

The pecking order dictates he do so. High ranking officials do not dare step on the toes of the military or they will be finding themselves a new job. The lower downs can cause a ruckus because they will be overruled by those that toe the line.

I agree. Obama could solve world hunger and cure cancer and they would still find a way to demonize him for it.

But, instead his government has SIX seperate scandals simmerin' in the cook pot. Ain't that right?

Boehner is starting to get on my nerves. The weasel has done plenty of damage on his own.

So, does that mean Deep Throat should have went to jail?
