So he should stop seeing his children? Oh, I see. Wait to do it. I can't argue with that. If he can wait, he probably should. It he can't? Refer to Door #1.

Define bigotry YS. I don't think you really even know what the term means. Saying that the guy is an ass for hurting his family is NOT bigotry. I notice how you avoid DIRECTLY calling me a bigot.

Anyone who denies that this is hurtful to a family is a no good liar, plain and simple.

    Yes, it is.

    For others:

Experts who counsel transgender parents say younger children, like Amaya, tend to adjust to the news of their parent's transition better than teenagers, and the best thing a parent can do is to be open and answer their child's questions.

Compared with children referred to the same clinical service regarding concerns about their own gender identity, the children of transsexual parents were less depressed and less likely to report peer harassment, persecution or victimization.

    1. You don't get to decide that the families of transgender people are "victims". If that's how families feel, then that's their feeling to have. They - not you - feel, determine and own their responses to the revelation that their parents are transgender. That you think you have the authority to just decide how the families do or ought to feel is disrespectful and irrational.

    2. It is accurate to say that some, if not many, families of trans people have some amount of initial difficulty with their trans family member's revelation. Any huge information like that is bound to cause waves - to cause people to question their relationships and other things. However, as has been explained to you, families tend to ultimately respond with love to their trans mother, husband, et al. because, unlike you, they tend to have empathy and they educate themselves.

This is pure dishonesty. I am absolutely disgusted and can't even believe it.

So is divorce. So is jail time. So is a death in the immediate family. So is a serious illness. There are many things families go through that are hurtful. Big time.

Kids are not tormented in school because of divorce and injury. This guy is putting his kids through hell so that he can be a woman. It's selfish. Even if it isn't a guarantee that they will go through hell, taking that risk is clearly selfish. .
