California College involved in deadly shooting.

Hold on a goddamn minute, California has the toughest ****ing gun laws in the country. How could this happen?

I am told that having the right to defend oneself causes people to do things from which one needs to defend themselves so nobody should have the ability to legally defend themselves at which point nobody will ever do things to them for which they need to defend themselves, roughly paraphrasing the position.

Can't even hold this crap for one post.

You boys didn't mess around, seems almost defensive

We haven't banned guns, that's the problem. The guy was probably from Texas.

But there you boomsticklovers go -- politicizing another mass shooting. It's what you guys do.

Impossible. Guns are banned from school property in CA, so thers no way this could have happened. Story must be fake.

As long as you can buy deadly weapons on the street next to the campus there is not much point of banning them in schools. I wonder if the shooter had to undergo any extensive backround checks before he got his weapons?

Well see you can't illegaly buy guns 'on the street' because that's illegal too.

meant more like a gun shop.

That's not "on the street", that's a federaly licinced dealer. Big diference there.

"On the street" means a hot gun with bodies on it getting passed around from convicted criminal to convicted criminal where the buyer leaves money at a drop and goes to another to pick up the gun.

the shop is located on the street though which is what I was pointing out. No point banning guns when you can legally buy one across the street and walk into the campus and start shooting people. Don't really agree with the gun free zones seems kind of pointless, either you ban guns out right or you don't.

Schools out for the summer, so the kids have to entertain themselves somehow.

No building in America is on a street, they're on lots which streets go around.

Seriously have you ever actualy been to America?

Is there a gun shop across the street from this school? Was the gun used in this shooting bought from that shop? Was the gun bought right befor the shooting? You say this is the case, where did you read that?

wtf are you talking about Jerry. Its an expression like saying on he "lives on main street" or " yeh that bar is right down the street". Your house address generally gets a STREET address. Honestly what the **** did you think I meant?

?

That's not an expression, that's the name of the street that person lives on; see your "street adress" comment below.

or " yeh that bar is right down the street".
Referring to a generaly down-hill or southern direction; the opposit of "up the street", referring to a generaly up-hill or northern direction.

Your house address generally gets a STREET address.
"Street adress" is not an expression, it's an actual spicific thing based off of you r lot number as recorded in your county's Township or Plat-Plan.

Honestly what the **** did you think I meant?
Stolen or otherwise illegaly posessed guns perchesed from and by Prohibited Persons through a criminal systom of pay-drops and gun pick-up points designed to bypass the legal process which are generaly phisicaly located along streets for ease of access.

In case anyone wants to discuss, you know, the actual incident:

Police: As many as 6 dead in S. California shootings - CNN.com

The shooting started in a residential area, in a house that was then set on fire. The gunman flagged down a car and when a second car stopped, he opened fire into that car. He forced the first woman to drive away. There were random shootings at up to 4/5 locations, then the gunman entered the college apparently to hide from police. Shots were also fired at the college. The gunman and 6 other people are confirmed dead. A second "person of interest" has been taken into custody.

So at the moment, it's a developing set of occurrences that seem to be merging into a single spree.

Y'all may now continue with your always exciting "guns bad, no guns good" infestation, the highlight of everyone's day.

Not.

Penal Code 626.9 - Gun-Free School Zone Act

What...what....what is going on here? Did the shooter know about PC 626.9? How...how could this happen? Why was he not informed of the Gun-Free School Zone Act of 1995? Is this...is this real life?

Why did no one inform this gunman that we have strict gun-control laws here in California?

Can't even wait till the bury the dead before you start your ugly NRA agitprop. That's what boomsticklovers do, I guess.

Meantime the gun nut had a ballistic vest. Of course the NRA is against banning those too.

Hey look, kids, a silly post that conflates banning guns with gun free zones. Oh the boomsticklovers and their jests.

And another massacre. There's something deeply rotten in this country, and the use of guns is just one medium of expression of that fact.
