10 Arrested in Student Brawl at Proviso East High School

All large cities are Democratic strongholds, and some of us are doing quite well, thank you.

Minneapolis has best U.S. city park system in new ranking | Reuters
Minneapolis has a crime rating of 5 out of 100 (where 1 is the absolute most dangerous and 100 is 'safe'). Their violent crime rate is 5x higher than the rest of the state. Property crime is double that of the rest of the state and their overall crimes per square mile shows 410 as compared to 23 in the rest of the state.

But hey...I hear they have nice parks...

Yet you cannot even figure out from the Very first Post. That he didn't say a word about any Policies. Wonder why you tried to take things out of context in the first place? Did your education teach you to do that? What school was this? Are you sure those Teachers were actually teachers? From the very First Post.

A flood of more than 300 fighting students poured out of Proviso East High School on their last day of school May 31 and carried into the streets of Maywood for several hours, police said.At least 10 students were arrested, including a girl allegedly using two chef’s knives after being beaten down by other students, and the fight required more than 40 officers from neighboring agencies including Oak Park, Forest Park, Westchester, Bellwood and Broadview, according to the Forest Park Review.
Three students were taken to Loyola Medical Center with minor injuries, including one girl who was struck over the eye with a lock, the Review reported.

Well, isn't Chicago just a model for tolerance, live, and let live utopianism? Good Grief...What a blight these cities like Chicago, and Detroit are....Interesting that they both have been under progressive/liberal leadership for ever. Coincidence? I think not.

This took place due to your false connection to what he was saying in the first place and trying to deflect what was stated. Notice Nothing about equating policies.

Musta been due to the fact that he pointed out this happens in Chicago and Detroit. Noticing it happens moreso Under progressive/liberal leadership.

See when you start to talk about education and all that.....first look to common sense before trying to apply your book methodology. Ya might want to check out the Liberal Writer R.L. Hubbard. Start with that I'm Okay.....Your Okay! ;)

Btw.....get back with me when you are done with the Basic book course in logic 101.

You probably shouldn't be so obnoxious considering you make really, really, BAD arguments. You talk about basic logic yet your critical thinking skills and methodologies are incredibly flimsy. You've re-iterated the same stupid correlation equals causation fallacy over and over ad nauseum. Please just stop, stop now.

Give me a break.....Like you know anything about me. Did you want to try and break it down to policies and who is in control? Did you want to try and tell me that what those Politicians do in Chicago and the Surrounding Chicagoland Area doesn't affect those that live in the Southern part of the State? What about those in surrounding states.

Let me know when the light goes off.....when you got something that you can step up with. Other than just thinking you had some sort of point.

Ever been here?

I live here, and it's not that bad. Not even close. The violent crime rate is commensurate with population. OUtside of the metro, the next largest city has 5x fewer people than Minneapolis. There are parts of Minnesota that have less than 410 people per square mile, so I'm not surprised there's less crime, because it's hard to commit crime against soybeans, sugar beets, or trees. So your statistics really don't tell much except that there's more people. More people = more crime because crimes are committed by and against people.

I've seen numerous rants of yours, you use the same bewildering formula for everything. You mix in condescending rhetoric while making baseless statements that have not a single shred of evidence, logic, verifiability and then you turn it around and say YOU prove this, YOU prove that while ignoring the validity of your own position. You also add some borderline incoherent ramblings That Have Been Capitalized talking about Chicago Area Tyrants Democratic Underground can you deny the Existence of Them?

You say nothing over and over and over.

You haven't seen much then. Which truly doesn't surprise me with all that activity you sportin. Now do you think I care about How you feel or any of your limitations? Although for those libs and the like minded.....I like to let them talk s**t first. Then I like smacking them down back where they belong. Kinda like you steppin in here with nothing. You can't dispute who is in control, nor who is making those laws, nor who is controlling the money. Which is why you came with this BS.

Let me know when ya got something that can show otherwise. It might be worth noting.

Kind of funny, you doubled down on everything I said.

There was really no need for this type of buffoonish response, the I beleive J-macs main point was that citys (especially Chicago) that live under more progressive policys seem to have more of this type of violent behavior. Maybe you could address that point instead of trying to turn it into something it isnt.

The response fit perfectly with the tone of the OP.

And yet you cannot show which law, what use of money is causing these effects. Funny that...

Proviso East isn't in Chicago. Try again.

This is why I think boarding schools are the way to go if parents aren't doing their job.
Since when does a bunch of kids fighting = parents not doing their jobs?

See, here's where you tell us that Rhambo has succeeded in Chicago, and we all have a good laugh....
Rahm Emanuel is an idiot, but since Proviso East isn't in Chicago, this story has nothing to do with him. Try again.

What was my point, Redress. What point was ruined? The top-ten cities winning the dubious distinction for most deadly cities in the country are all run by Democrats. That was my point. I suggested no causation. Only presented the facts. If you drew a conclusion from that, whose problem is it?
And the dishonesty award of the thread goes to ... this post!

My IQ just dropped 20 points reading your brilliant thesis.

Hmmmm...that sounds terribly serious, Verax...

Well, lets just see if you are still able to do word problems. Thats what my math teacher always said about checking IQ.

Now...

If a person started with an Intelligence Quotient of 15, lets say... and they dropped 20 points...hey, something wrong here I think....do they even measure deficits under zero?

Hey, stop, catch him, hey, who un-tethered him, now look, he's floating away...

And yet you can't figure out who is in power and writing and making those laws. Creating those policies. Creating those standards of living. Controlling it all. While affecting others and their way of lives. Including in other states. Yet you state you have some education.....did you not?

Nor does it change up the fact that you deflected from Macs original premise. Wherein you thought you had some argument. Which goes back to the leadership. Which cannot be said has or was controlled by those on the Right for the last 75 years.

Again.....You cannot dispute who has the Power and the Control. Oh, you can argue incessantly over it, and you can take 2 hrs to 5 day to try and think of something. But you and all the those that lean left. Cannot changes those facts. No matter how hard you try.

The final day of classes at Proviso East High School in Maywood turned out to be a wild one, according to police and video accounts.

Ten people were arrested after a massive fight erupted in the school parking lot May 31 and quickly spread onto streets in nearby neighborhoods of the western suburb, according to Maywood police Chief Tim Curry. At its height, about 300 students and possibly some nonstudents were involved in the brawl, Curry said.

The fight began about 9:30 a.m., but Curry did not know what sparked it. He said the fight took place over several blocks from Maywood Drive to Pine Street and from 1st Avenue to 17th Avenue......snip~

The absolute value of the decrement by nature cannot elicit a deficit, therefore the assumption of the value of its operating environment must be at fault.

Hey.. what's that, smell? He's exuding an... odor, must be, the compost pile... he built his.. house, on.

Later in the same article:
A statement from Proviso Township High Schools District 209, however, tried to distance itself from the incident, saying the disturbance did not happen on school grounds.

It's a matter of who you believe. The School District or the newspaper, both of whom have an interest in maintaining their stories regardless of accuracy.

Yeah and the Pics of the Students in the parking lot that were taken by Phone like The Chief of Police stated? Did they get confused in that space where cars were parked?

Then Huff-Pom Citing ABC NEWS. Oh and ABC NEWS following, well see there the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Suntimes Newspapers Not to mention the Chief of Police Curry Saying that's where it started. Makes one wonder who to believe when all all those sources pointed out where it began in the school Parking lot.

The fights got underway around 9:30 a.m. on May 31, starting in the school's parking lot, according to ABC Chicago. Police said the last day of school's early dismissal caught police off-guard and consumed local law enforcement for hours. Meanwhile, the school is claiming the fight took place more than a mile away from the school and that adults and former students were also participants in the brawl.

Proviso East Brawl: 10 Arrested After More Than 300 Students Pour Into Street In Massive Fight (VIDEO)

Did you now want to say the Chief of Police didn't know what the School parking lot looked like? Do you think all those New Sources would report accurately with the Chief of Police? Or should we believe you and what the Proviso Township High Schools District 209 has to say? Do you think that They Speak for all the Proviso Township Schools or for the Community and Proviso East in Maywood?

Just so none can come back and say the Chief of Police Didn't say it began at the School. Even Typed out an Email with the Info.

After he’s finished polishing the email message, he reads it aloud.

“Today, at approximately 9:30 am, as students were leaving school…” My mind drifts as he reads, catching only the most salacious bits of information. Upwards of 300 kids involved…10-15 arrested…3 sent to Loyola for minor injuries. The fighting began at the school and radiated as far west as 17th Avenue, pulsating all the way to Maywood Drive. As of yet, there is no known cause. Over 40 sheriff deputies and police officers from neighboring villages such as Oak Park and Westchester were deployed to the disturbance. Practically the entire Maywood Police Department is tied up dealing with the kids.....snip~

Training Day: 2 1/2 Hours With Chief Tim Curry | The Village Free Press

Oh, and its from the Village Press of guess where? Here is another lil incite about Maywood Illinois. Suburb of Chicago.

On any given night, there are 4-6 full-time police officers on the streets,” he said. During school days, practically the entire Maywood Police Department is out walking Proviso East students home. Add the resource constraint on top of the taint of corruption with which the Department is stigmatized and Curry and his officers have quite a burden on their backs.

“I’ve worked very, very hard to erase that stigma,” Curry said. “A lot of it stems from stuff that happened in the past. We have a lot of fresh faces on this department, though, and they know I don’t stand for that,” he said. I suddenly began to understand Curry’s frustration. “I ride my guys hard and they know if they’re not cutting it, I’ll replace them. But if I know that they’re doing the right thing, I’ll go to bat for them all the way,” he said. “And they know that, too.” .....snip~
