Roy Hibbert Uses Gay Slur in Post Game Press Conference

If a thread has already been started about this, please merge this with it. However, I searched for one and did not see it.

This is an overreaction IMO. How is it okay for Jason Collins to proclaim his sexuality but not okay for Roy Hibbert to say what he said? The sexual preference of public figures is something that homosexuals use constantly to further their cause. When the other side says something, I don't believe it to be proper for the gay community and/or gay supporters to attempt to shame them or muzzle them. Simple as that.

Freedom of speech only applies to the progressives and the duty to tolerate people you disagree with only applies to the conservatives. This is the 21st Century, Man. Get with the program.

edit: nah, not worth going down that line

Your own post is proof. You didn't say what he said. You said... "what he said."
He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

You avoided using the terminology that Hibbert did, because you also know the terms can be offensive.

Time for some sensitivity training in the NBA. It's not okay.

It's in the attached article. No need for me to say it again. That would only serve to make an already inflammatory subject more inflammatory. It's a little thing called restraint Deuce. I know I'll already be framed by some as a bigot simply for the stance I take on this even though I'm not. Why feed more ammunition to someone who mistakingly believes that about me?

Yes Mags, we need more sensitivity training in this country. That's this country's issue from the top down. Sensitivity is taken to the extreme ie you can't even criticize someone for sucking at their job without it being misconstrued as some sort of personal shot. Culture is culture. Homosexuality is still not viewed as okay by a lot of Americans and more so in the black community. Heck, you can hear Hibbert's teammate laugh when he says it. No matter the effort by a few, the many most likely will never believe being gay is okay.

Well good thing he added it or else I might have thought LeBron really stretched him out in a homo way
I call my own shots, largely based on an accumulation of data, and everyone knows it.

He was censured by the NBA. If you have a problem with a specific policy of the NBA, why don't you bring it to their attention rather than going off on one of your usual miserable misplaced spew episodes?..................
