I never assumed you ever take me seriously. I can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear. My posts are entirely for my own benefit, to assure myself this isn't all just one long nightmare or hallucination.

But I'll agree to forgo the food stamps altogether if they bring back state run pantry that those on assistance can pick their weekly sustenance. That way you ensure they're getting the required nutrition.

Goods which nearly anyone could pick up for free would not have much market value on the street

Well, I can live with that. It certainly would make the fraud more difficult and honestly, how much is someone really gonna get for a sack of potatoes or beans or some can goods? I'm not talking about handing our filets and lobsters but basic sustenance.

Don't you remember the massive black market for government cheese?

I';m quite capable of being insulting. In fact, I'm very good at it. I don't do it because I believe in civil discourse. I'm perplexed that this wasn't obvious. When somebody notes your avatar is not wearing a shirt - you're supposed to realize that this is hardly a real attack. Or do you view "hogwash" as a genuine insult?

    Tetchy? Well, I'll be hornswoggled.

I'm sorry. But the downside to text is it is sometime difficult to detect tone. Actually I like reading your posts because of your humor. Plus you're a cat person so you couldn't be all that bad Carry on lol.

Ya know, the sad truth is no matter what good thing the world offers there will be idiots out there misusing and abusing it. We can only hope to keep it to a minimum.

No, you don't "hope." You implement a system that makes abuse difficult and severely punish those that do.
