Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times [W:243]

Re: Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times

The people that put these criminals and incompetents into power need just accept their outright complicity and apologize.

There are going to be countless people stepping forward to give their personal account of harassment and so far the number of people targeted by the investigation has risen to over 80 people, who will under threat of prosecution offer up massive amounts of testimony that will directly implicate WH staff and administration officials.

Tom Brokaw. the talent-less hack, said this was no where near as damaging as Watergate, because Watergate was a direct attack on Constitutional liberty. What a lunatic.

This is going to find it's way to the WH, to Obama, I promise, as his only defense is he was too stupid to know any-better.

So you Libs complained for 8 years about the lies and incompetence, and then you elected a liar, and a incompetent. My question is, was that on purpose ?

It seems like it has already found its way to Obama. BH and his brother.

Re: Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times

Someone please explain to me how the is evidence of anything.

This is how scandals perpetuated by the federal government lose traction in the public arena and are not investigated to the fullest extent possible by the legislative bodies. The blind, willfully ignorant shills for an ideology, a cause. This phenomenon exists on both sides, mind you. Because apparently, you ran through the mental checklist required to clear this large volume of White House visits by a questionable individual without finding anything to be suspicious of. Interesting. I would like to know how you came to that conclusion and what you based it off.

Re: Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times

I am confident there is nothing there. Despite what many people on the right say, President Obama is not a stupid man, he would engage in something so idiotic. He would lose alot if it we fund he entered into such a conspiracy. Have Rep. Darrell Issa call Douglas Shulman back to nail this all down.

You want a second go at that?

Re: Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times

Sounds like Tom Brokaw is an intelligent man, this scandal doesn't involve President Obama.

Did IRS chief really visit White House 157 times? – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

More than 50 of Douglas Shulman's scheduled visits are described as "health care meetings" or "health care reform meetings," according to the visitor logs. Arrival times are only listed for 11 of his visits, and it's not unusual for a person to appear on the visitor logs - which are derived from Secret Service clearance lists - without actually having visited the White House. The majority of the visits were set to be held in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which houses office suites for administration aides.

Yeah, okay.

Re: Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times

Just chatting about the NCAA tournament, eh Mr. President?

Yeah, because there is just one person he can visit at the white house and that is the president himself

Douglas Shulman, the IRS commissioner who was appointed by George W. Bush.

I can see in my minds eye Bill Maher shaking his head and saying that these kinds of remarks showed how far the republicans were in the bubble.

Re: Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times

Several years ago we implemented a new system at the hospital. A guy who had installed the same system in his hospital probably made 150 to our hospital that year. That is not evidence we robbed a bank. But it does seem it would be enough evidence for the right wingers to file charges.

Yeah right, like Obamy didn't know what was going on?

Quite frankly Obama didn't have to know or even be told considering how much progressives hate their opposition - and to which lengths progressives will go to attempt to eradicate non-progressives. In short Obama knew the game plan all along was to attack the Tea Party and any group opposed to progressive ideas.

Ideologically there is no difference between the OWS socialist progressive squatter and the socialist progressive in any branch of the government. Both use different tactics in an attempt to destroy or silence the opposition (Tea Party/Conservatives)..

Obama knew and was aware of everything.....

Obama is either one of the dumbest presidents in history or he damn well knew....

Obama knows nothing of the IRS
Obama knows nothing about Benghazi
Obama knows nothing about the media scandal
Obama didn't know Rev Wright was a radical racist socialist after hearing his sermons for 20 years.
Obama didn't know Van Jones was a radical

Where do I stop with this guy Obama who is allegedly so damn smart but seems to know nothing?

Oh and then we have progressives expecting everyone to believe Obama is this great intelligent clean and flawless leader that knows everything until he gets his hand caught in the cookie jar then knows nothing.

I'd say impeach him but what good will that do?

Progressives will defend Obama until they're blue in the face and even if he was successfully impeached Joe Biden would be president - do we really want Biden who is more extreme and by far more crazy and eccentric than Obama? I'd rather have Obama as POTUS over Biden any day. As a matter of fact I think Biden was Obama's life insurance policy. No one is going to off Obama or impeach Obama if Biden is the consolation prize.

If congress wants to impeach it wont be until 2014 after the midterms. If that was the case I would support that.

Jay Carney is the magical mystery box of evidence.

"Obama knows nothing" and "Hillary knows nothing" is the status quo and THAT IS FACT - not talking points.

Obama is the one playing dumb and out of the loop here - that has already been established.

The guy is either a liar or an idiot...

Still let the demented likes of Bill Maher do your thinking for you, eh libs?

That bucket of puke is the poster boy for the pussification of this country.

Re: Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times

What isnt a talking point is Shulman's memory and response to questioning regarding his visits to the White House.

Oversight means he owes Congress more than "Easter Egg Roll".

If we dont expect a better answer than that, the adage about the government we deserve sadly holds true.

No, actually that was just the visualization of what I thought of the dumb people who counted the times this person that was appointed by George W. Bush visited the white house.

And liberals at least do some thinking, at least occasionally.

Length of service under BHO is 300-400% more than under GWB.

It's evidence Obama is incompetant or the government has grown out of control and needs to be brought down to a size that is more manageble.

I've yet to see any such evidence. Of course, the view from sea level is somewhat different than it is from higher ground.

well, normally the IRS chief is appointed for 5 years. And that one visits officials in the white house during that period is understandable, especially with the Affordable Health Care law that was being written.

I am quite comfortable letting the investigation of this aspect of the matter run its course. Let's see where it leads.

Yet that wasnt reflected in his testimony before oversight. Why?

Do you realize that the "White House" is a complex of three buildings, one of which is the actual White House?

Which is completely irrelevant to his oversight testimony, which was near contempt, honestly.

Hes an executive employee subject to congressional oversight whenever they ask for it. His lack of direct testimony about the visits is the problem. I dont care where he met, I care what he discussed and with whom. He did not discuss that at any length.

Here is some of his testimony::cool:

CONNOLLY: There might be many reasons you would be at the White House. What would be some of the reasons you might be at the White House?

SHULMAN: The Easter egg roll with my kids.

CONNOLLY: Well...

SHULMAN: Questions about the administrability of tax policy.

CONNOLLY: All right.

SHULMAN: They were thinking of our budget -- us helping the Department of Education streamline application processes for financial aid...

CONNOLLY: I just want to be clear. You're very aware of the fact that you're under oath today?

SHULMAN: Yeah, very aware of that.

CONNOLLY: And your testimony, to be very clear, in response to Mr. Jordan's question, is that you've -- you've never had any conversation with respect to this subject, the subject of this hearing, with anybody at the White House, though you were at the White House 118 times? Now, that -

SHULMAN: Yeah, I mean, just so I'm -- just so I'm clear, I have no memory. Wouldn't have been appropriate. Would not have been appropriate to have a conversation with the White -- with anyone at the White House about the subject of discriminating against conservative groups in any part of our operation.

So we are supposed to believe he knew about this policy, that it wasnt contained in Cincinnati, people in DC both knew about it and made decisions regarding it, but he never discussed it with anyone in the White House?

I dont think so, unless we want to tread the plausible deniability route in which case he was forwarding info to somoene within the White House to deliberately keep the President from knowing what he wasnt supposed to know in government doublespeak parlance---which seems highly probable.

I believe we need to know the truth, so in my opinion, he needs to be recalled to testify again.

I was refering to the THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of people that were targeted for just backing Romney's election.

The fact that your'e still trying to mitigate this scandal, the targeting of people by the IRS based on their political affiliation shows you really don't have a problem with what the IRS was doing in the first place.

Your'e pissed because they got caught.

If I KNOW people personally, who got immediate audits after sending a check to Romney's Campaign, then the list of donors who were harrassed is going to be a mile long.

Yes, you guys owe the rest of us a apology. You installed real criminals in Americas highest office.

So quit apologizing for their behaviour and start apologizing for your behaviour.

Electing a empty suite incompetent thug because the media told you to
