I would say clever rather than smart. Both know when their current career is a dead-end and when they can jump ship to make more money on book tours and fox news.

Actually, this is good news for Republicans. Bachmann was almost defeated in her last election, despite the heavy Republican leaning of her district. No Democrat is going to have a chance in 2014 if the GOP runs a candidate who is not a lunatic.

I'm not at all surprised you would consider the two mental giants as intelligent.

Yeah, she almost lost to an underfunded Democrat that nobody had ever heard of. She wasn't making it past 2014.

Depending on the candidate, Team Blue will have a much harder time in that district. Although you never know, they might pick another loon in the primary!

Too bad, I really wanted to watch her insanity for one more election, and to see the desperation sink in as she realized it was hopeless.

Biden is your idea of a mental giant.

Bachmann is a far more accomplished lawyer then the supposed legal scholar in the White House who apparently doesn't know what he had for breakfast unless it's in the news.

Of course you love Bachmann and Palin. No doubt you have lots in common.

Does Michelle Bachmann's gay husband still run that Christian-based homosexuality treatment centre?

And she worked as a tax attorney for the IRS. I'm guessing she won't go without a job for long.

Who would be happier to have that fact stricken from the record: Bachman or the IRS?
