Texas Shooting Spree Leaves 2 Dead, 5 Wounded

They spray and pray, and its also about style.

The same thing could be said of shooting from the hip and duel wielding.

I teach people to use the sights in all but some extremely close range situations

years of experience show its faster.

hitting first is what counts

The post maggie quoted made absolutely no indication that the poster believed what she decided it believed.

So I went and did the same for her.

I think she can speak for herself....She doesn't need you twisting her words.

pretty sad stuff..... not nearly as bad as the "terrorism" Chicago had over the weekend, but still sad.

they should have strict gun control in Chicago.. it would sure make those streets safe eh?

This is friggen texas, where were all the heroic gun owners to take down this horrible guy?

Wow. Did you actually post that? :lamo

I guess you don't know much about Texas outside of what is on TV.

The OP derailed his own thread into a discussion about Muslims?

I've seen no proof that this is true

You will not see the facts because you are willingly ignorant. You think by playing cleaver word games you can change reality.

yeah, because people in friggen texas don't have any guns.

Considering the guy shot one person then drove down the highway between different targets (which the OP outlines) it would be difficult for someone with a gun to retaliate.

He didn't just park his car and open fire until he was stopped. The motive is not clear at this point, but this was not a traditional mass murder (it doesn't even qualify because only one person was killed).

Texas Shooting Spree Leaves 2 Dead, 5 Wounded

its from Reuters..

When will these terror attacks by common Americans stop?

This terror inflicted from another fellow American mass murderer from North Carolina could have not been committed with legal guns if fMRI background checks were put in place. Such background checks would see the readiness of the one to commit this atrocity from this villain and would not have issued a license for a firearm to him.

He could have resorted to the black market to get guns but that then is illegal. There are odds that he might have been arrested while trying to buy guns illegally. Then none of this would have happened.

Please post a link to the fairy dust vendor you found.

When will these terror attacks by common Americans stop?

These attacks, like most crime in the United States, will stop once the people of the United States begin demanding that we once again start punishing criminals; incarcerating the ones who deserve it and executing the ones who have no chance to ever live within societies rules; and return to a society that puts its mentally incompetent members into the institutions that can deal with them. Until we stop believing that criminals and the mentally ill can be a part of the general society without restraint, these things will continue to occur. If not with a gun, with a knife (Google - Jessica Short, Middletown, CT), a bat, a bomb, etc....

Elaborate which links do you need in more common English please. In my statement there are assumptions and statements based on research. Which part do you want links for?

How would background checks have stopped this shooting? Thanks in advance!

More favorites...people using dead bodies to push an agenda. In this instance we have the happy circumstance of two such quality individuals. The OP for using this tragic incident as an excuse for incidents of real terrorism committed by the Islamists he is ever and always excusing and justifying and also a real class act using this incident to attack gun owners.

Go you!

I read and quoted exactly what you wrote. I quoted no link because you didn't reference one. Since you offered to use common English phrases, try rewording this little gem in a grammatically correct form: "could have not been committed with legal guns". I assumed you mean "could not have been committed with legal guns," but perhaps I'm interpreting what you wrote incorrectly.

If someone passes a law and puts a procedure in place, you cannot, or anyone else cannot, assume that something bad can't happen. That is naive and the province of fairy dust.

You reference that the shooter could have used the black market to get the guns and that there are odds he might have been arrested while buying them. Yes, there are odds. Would you say that they are even money odds or something closer to a billion to 1?

Gee, I thought "liberal" CCW laws like the ones in TX were supposed to prevent incidents like this.

At 4:30 am while the guy was driving around shooting people at various locations? Maybe if they were allowed to drive Bradley's then the citizens could have stopped him, assuming any were nearby at that time of the morning.

This is friggen texas, where were all the heroic gun owners to take down this horrible guy? Oh yeah, ducking for cover while the police did their job. Thank you to the brave police officers who stopped a deadly killing spree and who did their job heroically, and thank you to all the gun owners in the area for owning guns as it seems to have really deterred this criminal. I think it is obvious why I respect police despite some of their less respectable members and actions, and really don't care about the wannabe heroes who think having a gun makes them Wyatt Earp.

Looks like the sheriff wasn't quick enough either. Next.

People have been hurting other people since the beginning of time. It's very Pollyanna to think they'll ever stop.

Europe, where much of this killing has taken place over the centuries, has become of dreamland of rainbow shooting fairies and dreamboats.

But the NRA is an organisation for gun owners and since this gun owner (legal or not) committed a clear terror act by attacking random people... does that mean the NRA is a terror organisation?

Oh looky here, we've now weaved off the topic, and darted directly into pure hackery.
