That top most bridge in your pic is a rail line.

I'm not Googling the bridge's impact history. I'll leave that for you to do for yourself.

    Yes, your point?

Did you not understand my point?

The bottom (closest) bridge is the one struck. If you look at google maps, or any other map, you will see those other two bridges are to the east of the one that has the collapsed section. This means, the collapsed part of the four sections is the north most section. the truck, since he was traveling south, it means the first section he encountered is the one he struck.

    Get my point now?

But not because of lack of maintenance. It was because of design.

That's not a point, that's common knowledge. Were you not participating in this thread 3-4 days ago when we went over this? We even posted a vid showing the truck striking the bridge.

My God. Are you purposely being an A-Hole, trying to get someone to blow up at you?

Follow what I sad after replying to dirtpoorchris' post #200. I was explaining his take was wrong, and why. Then you jump in, and I think I have to explain it again.

What was you point of the rail line?

Even my Guard engineer unit (government bureaucracy) could have bridged that gap doing what we did in Afghanistan in under a month. If we were in theater all it would take is an op-order for the A.O. commander and pieces would start moving.

Of course, being back in the States....more government = more red tape and higher cost.

I did read that the Fed is picking up 90% of the bill for the temp fix and the permanent repair. http://www.kgw.com/news/Temporary-br...209012141.html That to me proves the driver isn't nearly as at fault as some on this thread would like to assert.
